Lieut. Uthwayt of Capt. Otway's Company in Col. Farrington's
Regiment has drawn a bill on Peter Bernard, Agent of the said
Regiment, for 40l. on account of his quarters at Pontefract, Co.
Yorks., which is refused to be accepted or paid either by the said
Col. or the said Agent by reason as they allege that there is not so
much owing from the King to the said Lieutenant. My Lords desire
you to stop the said 40l. out of the first money payable to him for
subsistence and that same be immediately paid over to Sir William
Lowther for the use of the said town and in satisfaction of said bill.

the petition of Mary Bishop praying a grant of the estate
of William Bishop, her late husband executed for piracy, it appears
that 50l. of her late husband's goods are in the hands of
Geo. Bohun Esq., and 154 pieces of foreign gold worth 60l. are in
the hands of Mr. Davis, one of the King's messengers, and 2 bonds
of 25l. each (one due from Lancellot Baker, the other from Samuell
Helbutt) are in the hands of Mr. Oldham as security for 30l. lent for
the maintenance of said William during his confinement and for
his burial. You are hereby to see the first two items of the above
paid into the Exchequer, and to demand the bonds and thereout
to pay what is due to Oldham and the residue to the said widow
