Memorial to the Treasury Lords by Mr. Blathwayt shewing that
in 1682 James, then Duke of York, granted to Mr. Penn by indenture
the Lower Counties upon Delaware River in America under the
yearly rent of a rose but with covenant to account for a moiety
of the profits: that Mr. Penn having omitted to so account he
was directed by a letter from the Treasury Lords of May 1701
[27 March 1701, Tr. Cal. XVI, pp. 235, 417] to return an accompt;
to which he replied in Sept. last [1701] that he would wait on
their Lordships in England and, as he presumed, to their satisfaction
therein: that Mr. Penn is now come over from Pennsylvania:
therefore praying that he may be directed to attend the Treasury
