Same to Mr. Cracherode of the petition of Richard Harcourt, Secondary of the Court of King's Bench on the Crown side, shewing that in obedience to a precept of the Commissioners for Traitors' Estates he made diligent search among the records from 1 Wm. and Mary onwards to find what Popish Recusants had been convicted within that time; and by the assistance of clerks, which he hired for that purpose, he made an exact list of all such persons which composed a book of 310 sheets of large paper and carefully examined the same and returned it into the said Commissioners' Office: that it cost petitioner three weeks' time to find out all the said records and above 10l. out of pocket to pay such clerks: therefore prays his expenses and reward for his labour.
