Treasury reference to the Attorney General (as by a favourable reference from the King dated 1680, June 27.) of the petition of Lewis Vicary, praying a grant of the escheated goods and chattels of Tho. Chapman, late of Monkton Wyld ("Monctonzeale") co. Devon, deceased, without relatives, being the bastard son of Elizabeth Chapman, also deceased: petitioner and his father having lost over 2,000l. for their fidelity to the late king.
