June 26. Money order for 275l. for the eleven Masters of Chancery (Sir Edward Lowe, Sir Adam Otley, Sir Timothy Baldwin, Sir Lacon William Child, Sir John Hoskins, Sir Samll. Clarke, Sir Miles Cooke, Sir John Franklyn, Sir John Coell, Sir William Beversham, Sir James Astry), for 1683, June 24 quarter's, salaries. (Struck through and replaced by the money order of 1683, Nov. 26, supra, p. 960.) Order Book XXXIX, p. 103.
June 30. Privy seal for 20s. a day to John Robinson, secretary to Philip Warwick, esq., late Envoy Extraordinary to the King of Sweden: the said Warwick having at his departure from that Court left the said Robinson to despatch for the King's service in his absence such matters as should happen; and the said Warwick being since dead the King has directed said Robinson to remain there for his service until the arrival of another minister. The said ordinary is to commence from Feb. 1 last and to continue until the arrival of such other minister and for two months after the said arrival and no longer.
