1685. May 7. Francis Gwyn to the Revenue Commissioners, Ireland. By your report of April 25 last on the petition of Edmund Barry you certify that the office of searcher and gauger of the port of Cork is granted to Stephen and Henry Smeet by patent of Mar. 6 last. I can find no warrant at the Secretary [of State's] Office nor at the Signet Office for this patent. You are to inform the Lord Treasurer by what warrant said patent was passed.
