Veneris, 20o Januarii, 1580

Mr. Speaker approved by the Queen.

This Day the House being assembled at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon, and attending her Majesty's coming to the Higher House, went then up with Mr. Speaker; who there made an eloquent Oration unto her Highness; and thereupon her Majesty did very graciously allow of the Election :

Admonition not to deal on certain Matters.

And my Lord Chancellor, in his Oration, did, amongst other Things, give a special Admonition unto this House, not to deal with Matters touching her Majesty's Person or Estate, or touching Religion: Which Oration ended, the Commons, with Mr. Speaker, returned into the Lower House : Where then was read,
