Highways.

L. 2a. B. FOR the Amendment of Highways in the Wylds of the Counties of Sussex, Surrey, and Kent: - Secondly read, and committed to the Knights and Burgesses of Sussex, Surrey, and Kent, the Barons of the Cinque Ports : - To meet on Friday next, in the Middle Temple Hall.

Privilege of a Member in a Suit.

Sir Robert Johnson moveth for Privilege in his own Case; Scilicet, for Stay of a Trial in the Exchequer, appointed on Monday next, between Sir Robert Brett, Plaintiff, and himself Defendant: Which was granted by the House.

A Letter to be written by Mr. Speaker to the Barons of the Exchequer, in Form as hath been accustomed in like Cases.

Smyth's Nat.

L. 3a. An Act for the Naturalizing of Fabian Smyth: - Upon a third Reading, and the Question, passed.

L. 2a. B. For the Preventing of Fraud and Wrong-doing in private Acts of Parliament: - Secondly read, and committed to the Committee in the Bill concerning the Possessions and Hereditaments of the Earl of Darby; with some few added ; viz. Sir Henry Nevill, Mr. Bowyer, Mr. Alford, Sir William Smyth.

Costs on Nonsuit.

L. 3a. An Act to give Costs to the Defendant upon a Nonsuit of the Plaintiff, or a Verdict against him : - Thirdly read, and, upon the Question, passed.

Bills sent to Lords.

Six Bills sent up to the Lords by Sir Henry Nevill; viz.

1. An Act for better Provision of Meadow and Pasture, and for the Maintenance of Tillage in the County of Hereford, &c. first sent from this House to the Lords, afterwards returned from their Lordships, with a Proviso and Amendments ; now, with the Amendments inserted, and the Proviso added, upon Commitment, Report, and Readings, and Question in the House, sent again to their Lordships.

2. An Act for Confirmation of some Part of a Charter granted to the Town of Southampton by King H. VI. and for Relief of the said Town.

3. An Act to give Costs to the Defendant upon a Nonsuit of the Plaintiff, or a Verdict against him.

4. An Act for Confirmation of an Agreement between Edward Lord Bruce, and Michael Doyley, Esquire, &c.

5. An Act to reform the negligent, unfaithful, and treacherous, Dealing of Mariners and Sailors, &c.

6. An Act for the Naturalizing of Fabian Smyth.

These Committees following were selected out of the grand Committee named for Conference with the Lords this Afternoon; and were appointed to assemble themselves some convenient Time before the Conference, and to consider of such material Parts of the Bill for Abolition of all Memory of Hostility, &c. as were likely to be handled in the said Conference; and to prepare themselves accordingly: Mr. Solicitor, Sir Francis Bacon, Mr. Recorder of London, Mr. Yelverton, Mr. Hyde, Mr. Brock, Sir Henry Nevill, Mr. Fuller, Sir John Savill, Sir Antho. Cope, Sir John Bennett, Sir Daniel Dun, Mr. Martin, Sir Roger Owen, Sir Edwyn Sandys, Sir Henry Wytherington, Sir Francis Goodwyn, Sir Henry Poole, Mr. Carleton.

Going to foreign Countries, &c.

B. For Restraint of going into foreign Countries, and for Restraint of Exporting of Gold and Silver out of the King's Dominions, reported from the Committee by Sir Edwyn Sandys, with Amendments, and a Proviso: The Bill delivered in, but the Reading deferred till Tomorrow.

Fens.

B. For the Draining of certain Fens and low Grounds, within the Isle of Ely, subject to Hurt by surrounding, being about Six thousand Acres, reported from the Committee by Sir Robert Wingfield; and, upon the Question, ordered to be ingrossed.
