Mr. Speaker approved.

To the Queen's Majesty, sitting in her Royal Seat, Mr. Speaker elect was presented; where, with an eloquent Oration, disabling himself, was nevertheless, of the Queen's Majesty, by the Mouth of the Lord Keeper, allowed to be Speaker : And then, requiring to have Access to her Highness. Presence for the Affairs of the House, and excusable, if he should (not for Lack of Good-will) mis-report their Meanings; it was granted without Importunity : And thereupon commanded to assemble at their House : Where was read,

Sanctuary.

1. The Bill, how Sanctuary Persons shall be compellable for Payment of their Debts.

Leave of Absence:

A Motion was made by Mr. Secretary, that Henry Greene, a Burgess of Hereford, was come up to attend, the Plague being in Hereford; wherefore it was Ordered, he should not come to the House, but have Licence to depart.
