King appoints to be attended.

Mr. Secretary bringeth Word from his Majesty, that his Pleasure is, we attend him, with Mr. Speaker, presently, in the Banqueting House at Whytehall.

Whereupon the House arose, and went with Mr. Speaker to his Majesty accordingly.

Privilege - Imprisonment of a Member.

The Keeper of the Marshalseas, brought to the Bar, and required, by what Warrant he detaineth Sir Henry Stanhope, delivereth in a Warrant, dated 4o Maii, 1628.

Alleged, there was a former Warrant whereof a Copy delivered in. Question, about the Reading of the Copy. The Keeper called in, to know, whether there were not another Warrant, of a former Date: He answereth. Yes; but hath it not here. Whereupon the Copy read.

Upon Question, this referred till To morrow. The Keeper to take him with him, and to bring him again To-morrow Morning. Mr. Selden, Mr. Hackwill, Sir Tho. Fanshaw, and Mr. Littleton, in the mean time, to view the Precedents: - To meet this Afternoon, Two Clock, in the Inner Temple Hall.

The Keeper of the Marshalseas called in, and required by Mr. Speaker, to take Sir H. Stanhopp back with him to the Marshalseas; and, that he bring him again to the House To-morrow Morning Eight Clock.

Ordered, upon Question, The Clerk to bring, To-morrow Morning, all the Copies of the Arguments delivered in, which are written; and the Originals with them.

Mr. Secretary Cooke, Mr. Pymme, Sir Nath. Rich, Mr. Harrys, and Sir D. Digges, to go into the Committee... and set down, and bring to the House, the King's Answer in Writing.

Marriage.

Sir Ro. Harley reporteth the Bill concerning Marriage, with Amendments, and a Proviso added. Engrossetur.

Meeting of Committees.

Committee for Examination of Abuses of Deputy Lieutenants, to meet To-morrow, Two Clock, in the former Place.

The Committee for the Bill of Privileges, - at the same Time in the former Place.

The Committee for Timber for Shipping, - To-morrow, in the former Place.

Committee for the Bill of Salt-petre, - To-morrow in the Afternoon, in the former place.

The Bill for Continuance of Statutes, - To-morrow in the Afternoon, in the former Place.

Bill concerning Clerk of the Market, - To-morrow in the Afternoon, in the Exchequer Chamber: with Power to send for the Clerk of the Market, his Deputies, or any other.

King's Answer.

Mr.. Secretary delivereth in his Majesty's Answer, in Writing: Which twice read. Upon Question, the Consideration of this his Majesty's Answer to be taken To-morrow Morning, without Interruption by any other Business.

Privilege.

And Sir H. Stanhoppe's Business to be deferred till Wednesday Morning.

A Copy of Mr. Speaker's Message delivered to the King to be sent to the Clerk of this House, by Two of the Clock this Afternoon; and the Copies of that, and of the Answer, to be delivered jointly, and not singly.
