Chelsey new River.

B. NEW River for Chelsey College, reported by Mr. Hackwill: - Ingrossetur.

This Afternoon, after the Conference, to meet for the Choice of Ten, to survey the Ditch.

The Names of Men to be employed at the Conference for Canons, read; and to prepare in the Committee Chamber.

Priests, &c.

Mr. Fuller reporteth the Examination of Udall, touching Priests.

Sir Wm. Bulstrod, Sir Antho. Cope, Sir Fr. Hastings:

Before these, Udall to deliver, to the Clerk, Instructions and Names, touching Priests, &c.

Udall brought in: - Offereth to prove that he hath delivered in, in Particulars.

Much Dispute, whether Witnesses to be sent for.

The Serjeant to warn them; - such as he shall present.

E. of Darby.

LL. B. - Explanation - Earl of Darby reported, upon a Re-commitment, by Sir Geo. Moore.

The Proviso, and Amendments, to be added.

Spiller.

The Matter of Spiller moved again ; and the Order of surceasing for a Time, read : Much urged, that it should be revived.

Q. Whether Mr. Spiller shall be drawn further in Question: - Resolved, to be further examined.

Monday, the Parties both to appear.

Abergavenny.

L. 1. B. - Lord Abergevenny.

King appoints to be attended.

Mr. Chancellor: - That his Majesty will give Access, on Saturday in the Afternoon, at Three a Clock, for presenting the Grievances: The Number to be under 20.

Platt.

L. 3. - Hugh Platt: - Rejected.

Remanding.

Mr. Martin reporteth the Conference touching the Bill of Remanding.

The Point was, that the Lords were not provided for, not to be remanded.

Disputed, whether it were fit to be inserted, that the Lords should be remanded.

The Answer, that the House thinketh not fit to have the Lords exempted.

Mr. Martin to do it at Committee ; - the mean time, to pray a Conference for that Purpose.

If the Parliament be likely to continue long, that then the House may be called every Week once.
