Distribution of Money.

Sir Edw. Mountague, Sir Geo. Moore, Sir H. Nevill, Sir Herbert Crofts, Mr. Fuller, Sir H. Poole, Sir Wm. Strowd, Sir Edwyn Sandys, Sir Barnard Whytstones, Sir Rob. Oxenbridge, Mr. Lieutenant of the Tower, Sir Fr. Barrington, to consider of the Distribution of the Money.

Defaulters Fines.

Berisford, 3l. - Ferris to pay it. -

To send a Messenger again.

Sir Walter Rice to pay double.

Upon Sir Wm. Gee double: - If not before the next Session, then a Serjeant at Arms.

Notice to the Knights of the Shires, that a Contempt.

Affront to Mr. Speaker.

Mr. Speaker, touching himself: - That he said, this is to repeal a Law that hath continued since 34 H. VIII.

Sir Edw. Herbert challenged him on the Stairs: That - popped his Mouth with his Finger in Scorn : Did again this Morning do it in the Street on Horseback.

Quest. Whether by the Serjeant or some Gentleman :

- No Course by a Gentleman. The Serjeant stayed, and Sir Rob. Harley went for him.

Excepting Fisher from Pardon.

Mr. Hakewill moveth, that one Fisher, in a special Case, might be exempted in the Pardon: - Touching a Decree.

No such Course in Parliament, either by Petition, or by Mr. Attorney.

Bills to be brought in.

Sir Geo. Moore . - That all Bills in Committees Hands might be brought in. - Resolved.

Shipping.

Mr. Finch - the Bill of Shipping.

Tenures, &c.

Mr. Chancellor, - touching a Message to be sent to the Lords, to let them know 200,000 l. is agreed.

Now a joint Consultation for the Lords and us: They as much interested as we.

Message to attend the King.

The King sendeth by Sir Roger Aston, that he meaneth to speak unto them ; at which Time he desireth all that are here to be present. - None to depart.

Officers, &c.

Mr. Martin, - touching Officers. - meane Lords, - In the Conference something to be said touching this, by Mr. Chancellor.

Sir Edwyn Sandys seconded.

Sir Edwyn Sandys: - That when the Officer should be paid,- - 5 H. 2. - those Two Records, vouched by Sir Roger Owen, to be procured. -

Excommnnication.

Bill of Excommunication to be drawn by some well- disposed, this Vacation. -

The Clerk to enter the Grievances, and his Majesty's Answer.

Sir Herbert Crofts, - a Motion touching the Four Shires: - That it might be taken in the Composition.

The City of Bristowe had Freedom in Queen Eliz. Time, upon their private Petition ; ergo -

Mr. Chancellor to pray a Conference, any time after this Morning.

Sir Sam. Sandys seconded the Matter for the Four Shires.

Sir Roger Owen: - To be cast in the Composition. -

To expect the Answer first from the King.

Mr. Attorney : - Not to prejudicate the King's Answer. - First to receive that, and then to proceed.

Sir Maurice Berkley: - Fit now to agree in the House, that it shall be propounded presently.

Sir Edwyn Sandys speaketh for the Proposition touching the Four Shires; and offereth a Petition in Form. - Read.

Mr. Carleton: - That the Entertaining, or Preferring, of this Petition touching the Four Shires, may be no Breach or Hindrance of the main Bargain. - Thought fit so by the House,

Q. Whether to commend this Petition to his Majesty: - Resolved.

Affront to Mr. Speaker.

Sir Edw. Herbert, coming in, stood up, and said, that he meant no Offence to the House.

Urged, that he should he say, he meant no Scorn to Mr. Speaker.

Affirmed by Mr. Speaker, that he put not off his Hat; put out his Tongue, and plopt with his Mouth.

He had no Intent of Scorn.

Mr. Chancellor: - That Mr. Speaker would hold himself satisfied.

Mr. Speaker worse satisfied than before.

Mr. Tey: - That Mr. Speaker should not say, he would complain to the King; - he would have complained.
