Prayers.

Tonage Duties.

ORDERED, That the Consideration of the Act, made the last Session, for laying several Duties upon the Tonage of Ships, in relation to the Isle of Wight, and Town and County of Southampton, and the Town of Portsmouth, be referred to the Committee of the whole House, who are to consider of the Act for granting to their Majesties several Duties upon Vellum, Parchment, and Paper.

Leave of Absence.

Ordered, That Sir Nathaniel Napier have Leave to go into the Country for Three Weeks, his Lady being very ill.

Ordered, That Mr. Thomas Trenchard have Leave to go into the Country for Three Weeks, upon extraordinary Occasions.

Apothecaries exempt from Parish Offices.

Mr. Smith, according to Order, presented to the House a Bill for exempting Apothecaries from serving as Constables, Scavengers, and other Ward and Parish Offices: And the same was received.

The Bill was read the First time.

Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second time.

Supply Bill; Tonage and Poundage.

The House, according to the Order of the Day, resolved itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider of the Bill for granting to their Majesties the Subsidy of Tonage and Poundage.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.

Sir Thomas Littleton took the Chair of the Committee.

Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Sir Thomas Littleton reported from the said Committee, That they had gone through the Bill; and made several Amendments; which they had directed him to report, when the House would . . . . . . to receive the same.

Ordered, That the said Report be made To-morrow Morning at Eleven a Clock.

Encouraging Seamen.

Resolved, That this House will, upon Saturday Sevennight, at Ten a Clock, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider of that Part of his Majesty's most gracious Speech, which relates to the Encouragement of Seamen.

Tryals for Treason.

The ingrossed Bill for regulating of Tryals in Cases of High Treason, and Misprision of Treason, was, according to the Order of the Day, read the Third time.

Resolved, Nemine contradicente, That the Bill do pass: And that the Title be, An Act for regulating of Tryals in Cases of High Treason, and Misprision of Treason.

Ordered, That Mr. Boyle do carry the Bill to the Lords, and desire their Concurrence thereunto.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Eight a Clock.
