Answer to Address.
Ordered, That the Report from the Committee of Privileges and Elections, to whom the Matter touching the Election for the Borough of Chipenham in the County of Wilts was referred, be made upon Saturday Morning next, at Eleven a Clock.
Ordered, That Mr. Speaker do issue his Warrant to the Clerk of the Crown, to make out a new Writ for electing a Burgess to serve in this present Parliament for the Borough of Lurgeshall in the County of Wilts, in the room of John Deane Esquire, deceased.
Supply Bill; Land Tax.
Punishing Mutiny and Desertion.
Ordered, That the Bill for continuing Two former Acts for punishing Officers and Soldiers who shall mutiny, or desert their Majesties Service; and for punishing false Musters; and for Payment of Quarters; for One Year longer; be read a Second time upon Monday Morning next, at Eleven a Clock.
Resolved, That a Committee be appointed to inspect the several Laws relating to the Militia, and to consider of their Defects; and to inquire particularly how the Trophy-money has been levied and applied; and to consider also how the said several Laws may be explained, and made more effectual; and to report their Opinion therein to the House.
