Prayers.

The Clerk's Indisposition.

ORDERED, That Mr. Cole, one of the Clerks without, do attend to assist in the House, during Mr Jodrell's Sickness.

Complaint against Capt. Reyny.

Mr. Negos, attending according to Order, was called in; and examined, touching the Matter of the Complaint made by Thomas Atkinson, in Custody of Michael Tooley.

And then withdrew.

And the House being informed, That John Colvile and Christopher Leman attended, touching the said Matter;

They were also severally called in; and examined.

And then withdrew.

Thomas Cawder, also attending according to Order, was likewise called in; and examined.

And then withdrew.

Captain Reyny, also attending according to Order, was likewise called in; and examined; and declared himself willing, that the said Thomas Atkinson should be discharged out of Custody of the Provost-Marshal.

Whereupon, the said Captain Reyny, with a Reprimand from Mr. Speaker, was dismissed.

Supply Bill; Tonage and Poundage.

Ordered, That a Bill be brought in, for granting to their Majesties the Subsidy of Tonage and Poundage, upon the Resolutions of this House: And that Mr. Solicitor-General do prepare, and bring in, the same.

Tryals for Treason.

Mr. Boyle, according to the Order of the Day, reported, from the Committee of the whole House, to whom the Bill for regulating of Tryals in Cases of High Treason, and Misprision of Treason, was committed, the Amendments made by the Committee to the said Bill; which he read in his Place; and afterwards delivered in at the Clerk's Table: Where the same were once read throughout; and then a Second time, one by one; and, upon the Question severally put thereupon, agreed unto by the House.

A Clause was offered, for enforcing the Execution of the Statute of 11° Hen. IV°:

And the same was read the First time:

And the Question being put, That the Clause be read a Second time;

It passed in the Negative.

A Clause was offered, That the committing of Treason shall not be a Forfeiture of the real Estate; and, by Leave of the House, withdrawn.

Ordered, That the Bill, with the Amendments, be ingrossed.

Ways and Means.

The House, according to the Order of the Day, resolved itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider further of Ways and Means for raising the Supply to be granted to their Majesties, for carrying on the War against France with Vigour.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.

Sir Thomas Littleton took the Chair of the Committee.

Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Sir Thomas Littleton reported from the said Committee, That they had come to several Resolutions; which they had directed him to report to the House, when the House would please to receive the same.

Ordered, That the said Report be made upon Monday Morning next, at Ten a Clock.

Sir Thomas Littleton also acquainted the House, That be was directed by the Committee to move, That they may have Leave to fit again.

Resolved, That this House will, upon Tuesday Morning next, at Ten a Clock, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider further of Ways and Means for raising the Supply to be granted to their Majesties, for carrying on the War against France with Vigour.

Committees.

Ordered, That all Committees be revived: And that they do fit on Monday next, at Four a Clock, in the Afternoon, in the Places formerly appointed.

And then the House adjourned till Monday Morning, Eight a Clock.
