Wollaston's Estate.

AN ingrossed Bill from the Lords, intituled, An Act to enable Hannah Wollaston Widow, and Jonathan her Son, an Infant, to sell certain Lands and Tenements in Warnford, in the County of Southampton, for Payment of Debts and Legacies, according to the Will of Richard Wollaston Esquire, deceased, was read the First time.

Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second time.

Earl of Salisbury's Estates.

An ingrossed Bill, from the Lords, intituled, An Act to enable the Guardians of James Earl of Salisbury to make Leases of Salisbury-House, and some other Hereditaments in the Strand, in the County of Middlesex, for Improvement thereof by Building, was read the First time.

Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second time.

Privileges.

A Complaint being made to the House, That one Benjamin Becket, a Bailiff to the Sheriff of Middlesex, hath arrested Jonathan Easden, a menial Servant to Colonel Perry, a Member of this House, and carried him Prisoner to Newgate, in Breach of the Privilege of this House;

Ordered, That it be referred to the Committee of Privileges and Elections, to examine the Matter of the said Complaint; and report the same, with their Opinion therein, to the House.

Ordered, That the said Jonathan Easden be discharged out of Prison; Colonel Perry affirming him to be his menial Servant.

Ordered, That the said Benjamin Becket do attend the Committee of Privileges and Elections this Afternoon, to answer the said Complaint.

A Member discharged from Custody.

Ordered, That Sir John Bland, in the Custody of the Serjeant at Arms, for absenting himself from his Service in Parliament, be discharged out of Custody, paying his Fees.

Expiring Laws.

Mr. Waller, according to Order, presented to the House a Bill for continuing several Laws therein mentioned, which are near expiring: And the same was received; and read the First time.

Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second time.

Preventing Export of Wool.

Sir John Guise, according to the Order of the Day, reported from the Committee, to whom the Bill for the better preventing the Exportation of Wool, by altering the Penalty; and for the Preservation of the publick Market at Blackwell-hall, and for Relief of the Workmen employed in the Woollen Manufactures, in Payment of their Wages; was committed; That they had considered the same, and the several Petitions referred to the said Committee; and had made several Amendments to the Bill; which they had directed him to report; and which he read in his Place; and afterwards delivered in at the Clerk's Table: Where the same were read.

Ordered, That the said Report be taken into Consideration upon Wednesday Morning next.

A Message from the Lords, by Sir Miles Cook and Sir John Franklyn:

Whitchcot's Estate.

The Lords have passed a Bill, intituled, An Act for enabling Sir Paul Whitchcot Knight and Baronet, and Dame Jane his Wife, to make Leases, for Ninety-nine Years, of the Manor of Tooting-Graveny, and any of their Messuages, Lands, and Hereditaments, in TootingGraveny, Tooting-Beake, and Stretham, in the County of Surrey; for the better Improvement thereof: And also,

Chaitor's Estate.

A Bill, intituled, An Act to vest certain Lands of Sir William Chaitor Baronet, in Yorkshire and Durham, to be sold, for Payment of Debts charged thereon, and to secure Portions for younger Children:

To which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

And then the Messengers withdrew.

Earthenware.

Mr. Hungerford reported from the Committee, to whom the Bill for the more effectual prohibiting the Importation of Earthen-ware was committed, That they had considered the same, and the Petition to them referred; and had made some Amendments to the Bill; which they had directed him to report to the House; and which he read in his Place; and afterwards delivered in at the Clerk's Table: Where the same were read.

Ordered, That the said Report be taken into Consideration upon Thursday Morning.

Importing Portugal Wines.

Ordered, That the Bill for the importing Wines and other Goods, from Spaine, Portugall, and Italy, of the Growth of those Countries, in English and English-built Ships, manned with Seamen of those Countries, be read a Second time upon Friday Morning next.

Ways and Means.

Resolved, That this House will, To-morrow Morning, after the Report from the Committee of the whole House, to whom it was referred to consider further of Ways and Means for raising the Supply to be granted to his Majesty, for carrying on the War against France with Vigour, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider of the Bill for continuing Two former Acts, for punishing Officers and Soldiers who shall mutiny, or desert his Majesty's Service; and for punishing false Musters; and for Payment of Quarters.

Ordered, That the Report from the Committee appointed to prepare an humble Representation to his Majesty be made To-morrow Morning.

Ways and Means.

The House, according to the Order of the Day, resolved itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider further of Ways and Means for raising the Supply to be granted to his Majesty, for carrying on the War against France with Vigour.

Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Sir Thomas Littleton reported from the said Committee, That they had made a further Progress in the Matter to them referred; and had directed him to move, That they may have Leave to sit again.

Resolved, That this House will, To-morrow Morning, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider further of Ways and Means for raising the Supply to be granted to his Majesty, for carrying on the War against France with Vigour.

Ordered, That all Committees, except such as are by Adjournment to fit To-morrow Morning, be adjourned.
