SIR William Ashurst, according to Order, presented to the House a Bill for the better repairing the Highways in the Parishes of Islington and St. Pancras: And the same was received.

The Bill was read the First time.

Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second time.

Supply Bill; Payment of Tallies.

Mr. Lowndes, according to Order, presented to the House a Bill to explain that Part of the Act, lately passed, for laying several Duties on low Wines, and Spirits, of the first Extraction; and for preventing the Frauds and Abuses of Brewers, Distillers, and other Persons chargeable with the Duties of Excise; which relates to the Payment of Tallies, and the Interest thereof: And the same was received.

The Bill was read the First time.

Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second time.

Committees.

Ordered, That all Committees be revived.

The House being informed of a printed Paper, intituled, "A summary Account of the Proceedings upon the happy Discovery of the Jacobite Conspiracy;"

Which was delivered in at the Table; and there read:

Resolved, Nemine contradicente, That the Printing the Names of the Members of this House, and reflecting on the Members of this House for their Proceedings in Parliament, is a Breach of the Privileges of this House; and destructive of the Freedom and Liberties of Parliament.

Supply Bill; Coinage.

Mr. Serjeant Bond, according to Order, presented to the House a Bill for the further Remedying the ill State of the Coin of the Kingdom; and encouraging the bringing Plate into the Mints, to be coined: And the same was received.

The Bill was read the First time.

Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second time.

Supply Bill; importing and coining Guineas.

Mr. Moore reported from the Committee, to whom the Bill for importing Guineas; and coining Gold at the Mint; was committed, That they had made several Amendments to the Bill; which they had directed him to report to the House; which he read in his Place; and afterwards delivered in at the Clerk's Table: Where the same were once read throughout; and then a Second time, one by one; and, upon the Question severally put thereupon, agreed unto by the House.

Ordered, That the Bill, with the Amendments, be ingrossed.

Relief of Creditors.

Ordered, That Leave be given to bring in a Bill for the Relief of Creditors: And that Mr. Brotherton, Mr. Bohun, and Mr. How, do prepare, and bring in, the Bill.

Poor Laws.

Resolved, That a Committee be appointed to inspect the Laws relating to the Poor; and to prepare, and bring in, a Bill, or Bills, for explaining and better Execution thereof, and for the better Relief and Employment of the Poor:

State of Trade.

Ordered, That the Commissioners appointed to look after the Trade of England do lay before this House the present State of our Trade.

Supply Bill; Coinage.

A Bill for the further Remedying the ill State of the Coin of the Kingdom; and encouraging the bringing Plate into the Mints, to be coined; was read a Second time.

Resolved, That the Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House,

Resolved, That this House will, upon Friday Morn ing next, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider of the said Bill.

Resolved, That it be an Instruction to the said Committee, That they do receive a Clause for the Re-coining of the unhammered Money which hath been received at the Exchequer, or by the publick Receivers, or Collectors, pursuant to any Act or Acts of Parliament of the last Session; and the hammered Money which shall be brought in, pursuant to this Bill; and to apply the new Money, proceeding therefrom, to the Funds, or Uses to which the hammered Money belonged.

And then the House adjourned till Monday Morning, Nine a Clock.
