Poor Laws.

RESOLVED, That a Committee be appointed to consider of Ways for the better providing for the Poor, and setting them on work:

And it is referred to Mr. Gwyn, Sir Chris. Musgrove, Mr. Hamond, Lord Cheny, Sir Hen. Pickering, Mr. Henly, Mr. Shackerly, Colonel Selwyn, Sir Wm. Cook, Sir Rich. Cocks, Sir Edw. Hussey, Mr. Bridges, Mr. Hayes, Mr. Blofeild, Mr. Mitchell, Mr. Pelham, Sir Robert Cotton, Sir James Hublon, Mr. York, Mr. Perry, Mr. Heveningham, Mr. Worsley, Mr. Cowper, Sir Wm. Villers, Mr. Thornhagh, Sir Wm. Norris, Mr. Offley, Mr. Topham, Mr. Bertie, Mr. Dyot, Mr. Jolly, Sir Rich. Onslow, Sir Barth. Shower, Mr. Blysse, Mr. Osborn, Mr. Chase, Colonel King, Lord Coningsby, Sir Fra. Windham, Sir Walter Young, Mr. Vernon, Mr. Harcourt: And all that come are to have Voices: And they are to meet this Afternoon, at Five a Clock, in the Speaker's Chambers.

Ordered, That it be an Instruction to the said Committee, That they do consider of all the Acts relating to the Poor; and of reducing the same into One Law; and report their Opinion to the House.

Woollen Manufacture.

Sir Edward Seymour presented to the House a Bill to encourage the Woollen Manufacture of England; and to restrain the Exportation of Woollen Manufactures from Ireland into any foreign Parts; and for the better preventing the Exportation of Wool from England and Ireland: And the same was received; and read the First time:

But, the same being brought in with some Penalties therein, the same was, by Leave of the House withdrawn.

Exporting Wool.

Ordered, That it be an Instruction to the Committee, who are to consider which Way to prevent the Exportation of Wool from England and Ireland into foreign Parts, That they do examine and inquire into the Nature of the Licences for exporting Wool from Ireland, and of the Bonds given in relation thereunto; and how they have been prosecuted; and consider how they may be more effectually prosecuted.

Preventing Export of Corn, &c.

Mr. Lownde, according to Order, presented to the House a Bill to prohibit the Exportation of Corn, Meal, and Bread, for One Year: And the same was received; and read the First time.

Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second time.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Eight a Clock.
