PRAYERS.

Naval Affairs, &c.

TWO Letters from the Earl of Warrick, of the Seventeenth and of the Eighteenth of October, were both this Day read; and ordered to be referred to the Committee of the King's Revenue, and of the Navy, where Sir H. Vane has the Chair: And it is especially recommended to Sir H. Vane, to have a care of all the Particulars concerning the Fleet and Forts mentioned in the said Letters; who is likewise to communicate the same to the other Committee of the Navy.

Dover Castle.

It is likewise referred to the Committee for the King's Revenue, to consider of the Castle of Dover, and to supply it with all Necessaries.

Island of Barbadoes, &c.

The humble Petition of divers Merchants trading to the Island of Barbadoes, and of divers Inhabitants there; was this Day read: And it is Ordered, That it be referred to a Committee; and that Mr. Philip Bell, now Governor there, be continued Governor there, till the House take further Order.

Sir Gilb. Gerard, Mr. Maynard, Mr. Wheeler, Mr. Trenchard, Mr. Vassall, Mr. Holland, Mr. Rolle, Mr. Reynolds, Sir Tho. Soame, Mr. Spurstowe, Mr. Ellis, Mr. Lisle, Mr. Prideaux, Mr. Bond;

The Consideration of all the Plantations is referred to this Committee: And they have Power to think of a Governor General for all these Plantations, and to present him to the House: And are to meet this Afternoon at Three of Clock in the Star Chamber: And have Power to send for Parties, Witnesses, Papers, Records, &c.

Prothonotary of Common Pleas.

Resolved, That the Judges of the Common Pleas be required to admit and swear, publickly in Court, Mr. Bernard into the Prothonotary's Place of the Common Pleas, become void by the Death of Mr. Gulston.

Ordered, That the Lords Concurrence be desired herein.

Hale's Sequestration.

Sir Edw. Hales was called in to the Bar: And, being demanded several Questions, confessed that he had Information of the Insurrection on the Friday, the One-and-twentieth of July: That on Saturday he was disarmed by the Rebels; and that on Sunday his Men went away with his Horses and his Grandchild to the Rebels, while he was at home and at Dinner: That his Men came home to him again on Tuesday; and that he came away on the Monday: That these Servants of his have stayed at his House ever since; but that one of them, his Clerk, has been with him, and spoke with him here in London since.

Resolved, &c. That this House doth adhere to their former Vote, concerning the Sequestration of the Estate of Sir Edw. Hales.

Resolved, That this Business concerning Sir Edw. Hales shall be referred to a Committee, to hear what he can say to the Examinations, taken in his Cause.

And it is further Ordered, That the said Business be referred to the Committee of Gloucester.

Ordered, That the like Order, as was Yesterday made as to the Sequestration of the Estate of Sir George Sandys, shall be made for the Sequestration of the Estate of Sir Edw. Hales, to be employed for the Service of the Garison of Gloucester.

Conference.

Mr. Serjeant Wilde, Mr. Prideax, Mr. Niclas, are appointed Managers of that Part of the Conference as concerns the Archbishop of Canterbury's Charge; and the Votes concerning the Great Seal.

Mr. Recorder is appointed Manager of that Part of the Conference that concerns the additional Ordinance to the Ordinance for raising Fourteen thousand Pounds within the Line of Communication.

Lamshall Parsonage.

An Order for sequestring the Rents and Profits of the Parsonage of Lamshall, in the County of Suffolk, whereof Edward Brewster was late Parson, to the Use of Thomas Thomas, a godly, learned, and orthodox Divine; who is hereby required to preach every Lord's Day there; and take care for Discharge of the Cure of that Place in all the Duties there; and to receive the Profits thereof, until further Order shall be taken by this House, was this Day read; and, by Vote upon the Question, assented unto.

St. Dyonis Parsonage.

An Order for sequestring the Rents and Profits of the Parsonage of St. Dyonis Back Church, London, whereof George Hume was late Parson, to the Use of Nathaniel Hardy, Master of Arts, a godly, and orthodox Divine; who is hereby required to preach every Lord's Day there; and take care for Discharge of the Cure of that Place in all the Duties thereof; and to receive the Profits thereof until father Order shall be taken by this House; was this Day read; and, by Vote upon the Question, assented unto.
