PRAYERS.

Pembroke, &c. Association.

MR. White reports the Amendments to the Ordinance for the Association of the Counties of Pembroke, Cardigan, and Caermarthen: The which were read; and assented unto; and, by Vote upon the Question, the Ordinance, with the Amendments, passed: And

Ordered, That the Lords Concurrence be desired therein.

Leave of Absence.

Ordered, That Sir Anth. Irby shall have Leave to go into the Country, for Three Weeks or a Month.

Benlosse's Petition.

Ordered, That the Petition of Sir Rob. Benlosse, and Dame Rebecca, his Wife, was this Day read; and ordered to be referred to the Committee of Lords and Commons for Sequestrations, to be speedily taken into Consideration, for the Petitioners Relief, as to Justice shall appertain.

Kemp's Petition.

Moved, That the Petition of Sir Rob. Kemp might be referred to the Committee of Lords and Commons for Sequestrations.

Associated Counties.

Ordered, That the Ordinance concerning the Seven associated Counties be taken into Consideration next after the Establishment.

Artillery Train.

Mr. Scawen reports the List of the Train of Artillery.

Resolved, &c. That this House doth assent unto the Establishment of the Pay and Entertainment of the Officers General of the Field, the Lord General his Train, Officers and General of the Horse Troops of Horse, Officers of the Regiments of Foot and Horse, Bands and Companies of Footmen, Two Companies of Dragoons, One of Firelocks, their several Entertainments by the Day, the Month of Twenty-eight Days, and the Year.

Resolved, &c. That this House doth assent unto the Establishment, and List of the Officers, Attendants, and Artificers, belonging to the Train of Artillery; together with their several Entertainments, by the Day, the Month of Twenty-eight Days.

Reformado Officers, &c.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Committee for the Establishment of my Lord General's Army, to consider by what Means, by Addition of Excise, or some other Way, the Troops of Reformado Officers, and other additional and incident Charges to the Lord General's Army, may be provided for and supported. They are likewise to prepare a Letter to be sent to my Lord General.

It is likewise referred to this Committee, to consider of some Power to be invested in Mr. Cooke, whereby to enable him to prevent the Abuses complained of, to be committed by the Waggon-master-general, and Carriage-mastergeneral, and other Officers of the Train of Artillery; and in the Musters of the Horse: And Mr. Holland, Mr. Ashhurst, Sir Hen. Heyman, Sir Harbottle Grimston, Mr. Dawse, Mr. Ashe, Sir Martin Lister, Sir H. Mildmay, are added to the Committee for the Establishment: And that Committee is to meet this Afternoon.

Commissioners of Excise.

Ordered, That the House of Commons doth expect, that the Commissioners of Excise do punctually pay in the Ten thousand Pounds by Thursday next at furthest; according to the Order Yesterday made.

Whinnell's &c. Petition.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Committee for Examinations, to examine the Matter complained of in the Petition of James Whinnell, Wm. Lettonie, and Moses Scotten: And are to examine this Business this Afternoon the first Business: And have Power to write to the Earl of Manchester, to send up such Persons as are fit to be examined in this Business.

Piggott's Petition.

Ordered, That the Committee for Accounts, where Mr. Trenchard has the Chair, do examine the Business concerning the Petition of Mr. Piggott; and do make Report thereof, peremptorily, by Friday next to the House; or else, that That Part of the Order, as to stay the Proceedings at Law, shall be revoked: And they, or any Four of them, are to meet: And have Power to send for Parties, Witnesses, and Papers, and Accounts.

Portsmouth Garison.

Ordered, That the Committee for Portsmouth do treat with some Officers of the Army, that can discover Goods or Monies belonging to Persons that are in Arms against the Parliament, and whose Estates ought to be sequestered, but is not yet discovered, nor sequestered: And that the same, so discovered, shall be employed for Payment of the Garison at Portsmouth; allowing a Proportion to the Persons that shall discover the same, towards Payment of the Arrears due to them: And that an Ordinance be brought in accordingly.

Committee of both Kingdoms.

According to an Order Yesterday, the House fell into the Debate and Consideration of the Lords Amendments to the Ordinance for continuing the Ordinance concerning the Committee of both Kingdoms.

The Amendments were read: Which were, first, That the "Four Months" should be made "Three Months;" and a Proviso; viz.

"Provided always, and it is hereby Ordained, by the said Lords and Commons, That there shall be, and hereby is, added to the Number of the said Committee, Phil. Earl of Pembroke and Mountgomery, and Wm. Earl of Salisbury; any thing in this present Ordinance, and the said recited Ordinance, or either of them, contained to the contrary in anywise notwithstanding."

After Debate of these Amendments;

It was Resolved, &c. That this House doth adhere to the Ordinance for continuing the Ordinance concerning the Committee of both Kingdoms, as it went from this House.

Sir H. Mildmay is appointed to go up to the Lords, to desire a Conference, by Committees of both Houses, so soon as it may stand with the Conveniency of their House, concerning the Ordinance for the Committee of both Kingdoms.

Mr. Strode, Mr. Prideaux, Mr. Lisle, Mr. Ellis, are appointed Managers of this Conference.

Ordered, That the Ordinance concerning the Committee of both Kingdoms, sent from the Lords, Februarii 1, 1643, be taken into Consideration To-morrow, at Eleven of Clock.

Essex, &c. Association.

Ordered, That the Ordinance concerning the Association of the Counties of Essex, Norfolk, Suffolk, &c. be read To-morrow Morning, the first Business.

Letter to Lord Admiral.

Ordered, That the Committee of the Navy do prepare a Letter to be sent to my Lord Admiral, from Mr. Speaker; in Answer to his, concerning Captain Plunkett; and acquaint his Lordship with the Cause of Restraint.

Sunderland Colliery.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Committee of the Revenue, to consider of the Paper presented from the Committee of the Navy, concerning the Colliery at Sunderland; and of the Letters received from the Committee at Sunderland concerning that Business: And the Committee of the Navy is joined, as to that Business: And are to present their Opinions to the House; and what Instructions are fit to be sent to the Commissioners.

Letter referred.

Ordered, That the Letter inclosed in the Letter from the Committee in Sunderland, directed unto them from the British Forces in Ireland, be referred to the Consideration of the Committee at Goldsmiths Hall.

Whitehall.

Ordered, That the Committee of the House of Commons, for the Ordinance for taking away and demolishing all superstitious and illegal Matters in the Worship of God, repair to Whitehall, to put the said Ordinance there in Execution; and take into their Custody the Copes, Surplices, and superstitious Vestments there: And the Proceed of them to be disposed of by this House.
