PRAYERS.

Wardloe's Arrears.

A LETTER, in the way of Petition, from Colonel James Wardloe, late Governor of the Town of Plymouth, directed to the House of Commons, was this Day read: And

It is Ordered, upon the Question, That it be referred to Sir Hen. Vane senior, and Mr. Blackiston, to provide Two hundred Pounds to be paid unto the said Colonel James Wardlue, and deducted out of the Arrears due unto him for his Service in the Lord General's Army, as Colonel of a Regiment, and Captain of a Company of Dragoons. This to be paid unto him, in regard of his great Infirmity incurred by his Service; and that he is upon his sudden Repair into his own Country.

Roseworme's Arrears.

Ordered, That Lieutenant Colonel Roseworme shall have his Pay as Lieutenant Colonel, so long as he did the Duty of that Place in the Regiment of Colonel Asheton: And that the Forty Shillings per Week formerly paid to him as Captain, and all the Arrears of it, be forthwith paid out of the public Monies to be raised in the County of Lancaster; and so to continue during such time as he shall be [in] the publick Service in that County: And for the rest of [his] Pay as Captain, the said Lieutenant Colonel Roseworme shall [have] the Publick Faith. And it is further recommended [unto] the Town of Manchester, not to fail in the Paying of him the Sixty Pounds per Annum, according to their former Covenants with him.

Copley's Accounts.

The humble Petition of Commissary Lionel Copley, concerning his Accounts, given in to the Committee of Accounts; and the Order of this House upon the Certificate of the Committee of Accounts; was this Day read: And

It is Ordered, upon the Question, That it be referred to the Consideration of the Committee of Accounts; to certify the State of his Accounts; and the Reasons and Grounds of their Opinion and Certificate.

Farthing Tokens.

Ordered, That after the Business of the Ordinance for Ireland shall be dispatched To-morrow Morning, by the Grand Committee of the House, that then the Grand Committee do take into Consideration the Business concerning Farthing Tokens.

Advance from Excise.

Ordered, That Sir Jo. Clottworthy, Sir Philip Stapilton, Sir Walth. Erle, and the Committee formerly appointed, do this Afternoon repair to the Commissioners of Excise; to desire them forthwith to advance the One thousand Pounds formerly assigned to the Reformadoes.

Ship Utrict.

Ordered, That Power be given to the Committee of Lords and Commons appointed to treat with the States Ambassadors, to grant or deny Restitution of the Ship Utrict, as they shall see Cause, upon further Conference with the said Ambassadors.

Ordination of Ministers.

The House being informed that some of the Divines of the Assembly were at the Door, and desired to present something to the House;

They were called in: And did present the humble Return of the Assembly of Divines, touching the Order and Copy of Agreements concerning Ordination of Ministers in London, pro tempore, sent by this Honourable House, Augusti 30, 1644.

Ordered, That on Saturday next the House do peremptorily take into Consideration, the first Business, the Reasons this Day presented from the Assembly of Divines concerning Ordination: And that Mr. Speaker do put the House in mind thereof: And that any Member of the House may have a Copy of the said Reasons.

Hamshire Ministers.

Ordered, That next after the Ordination, the Report concerning the Ministers for Hamshire, be made by Sir Wm. Lewes.

Army Commissioners.

Resolved, &c. That Sir Mathew Bointon, Baronet, High Sheriff for the County of Yorke, be added to the Commissioners appointed to reside in the Army with the Commissioners of Scotland.

Lords Concurrence be desired herein.

Affairs at Leicester.

The humble Petition of divers the Inhabitants of the County of Leicester was this Day read, representing the Inconveniencies that happen to the Country upon the Differences that are arisen between the Lord Grey his Officers, and the Committee; and desiring, that the Lord Grey may be sent down into the Country, armed with Power to protect the Country.

Mr. Davenport, Mr. Quarles, Mr. Sherman, and others that preferred the Petition, were called in; and did deliver in the original Names of the Subscribers to the Petition.

Mr. Sam. Browne, Sir Martyn Lister, Sir Henry Heyman, Sir Thomas Cheek, Sir Christopher Yelverton, Mr. Blakiston, Mr. Ashherst, Sir John Curson, Mr. Hevingham, Sir Tho. Widdrington, Mr. Holles, Sir Anthony Irby, Sir Henry Cholmley, Mr. Hodges, Mr. Ellis, Mr. Long, Mr. Prideaux, Sir John Bamfeild, Mr. Maynard, Mr. Roll, Sir Ben. Rudyard, Sir Phil. Stapilton, Mr. Broxholme, Sir Wm. Lewes, Sir John Corbett, Mr. Bodd, the Knights and Burgesses of the Counties in Association with Leicester;

This Committee is appointed to consider of the Power of both Ordinances concerning Leicester and That Association, how Forces may be raised upon the Power of them both; and what is fit to be done for the composing of the Differences now in the County of Leicester: And are to meet To-morrow, at Two of Clock in the Afternoon, in the Exchequer Chamber; and so from time to time as they shall appoint: And have Power to send for Parties, Witnesses, Papers, Records, &c.

Resolved, &c. That the Regiment of Foot of the Lord Grey shall be paid a Week's Pay by the Committee of Leicester, according to a former Order.

Message from Lords.

A Message from the Lords, by Mr. Page and Dr. Heath;

The Lords have added Two Members of their House to the Committee of Sequestrations; and desire this House to appoint a proportionable Number.

The Lords have received a Petition from the Earl of Thanett, which they desire this House to take into Consideration; and have sent the Sense they conceive of it, in Writing.
