ORdered, That Colonel Stapeley do, from this House, give Thanks to Mr. Maynard, for the great Pains he took in the Sermon he preached this Day, at the Intreaty of this House, at St. Margarett's, Westminster; it being the Day of Publick Humiliation; and desire him to print his Sermon: And he is to have the like Privilege in Printing of it, as others in the like Kind usually have had.
Ordered, That Mr. Bosevile do, from this House, give Thanks to Mr. Lockyer, for the great Pains he took in the Sermon he preached this Day, at the Intreaty of this House, at St. Margarett's, Westminster; it being the Day of Publick Humiliation; and desire him to print his Sermon: And he is to have the like Privilege in Printing of it, as others in the like Kind usually have had.
Ordered, That Mr. Sollicitor do, from this House, desire Mr. Dell to preach before the Commons, at St. Margarett's, Westminster, the next Fast-Day.
Ordered, That Colonel Ven do, from this House, desire Mr. Love to preach before the Commons, at St. Margarett's, Westminster, the next Fast-Day.
Ordered, That Mr. Cradock, Mr. Simmons, and Mr. Walter, who were formerly appointed to go into Wales to preach the Gospel there, do, with all convenient Speed, repair thither, according to the former Appointment: And that the former Allowance, ordered to be paid to them for their Pains, be now paid unto them by the Committee of the Revenue.
Ordered, That the Order of this House, of Restraint, inhibiting Mr. Simson to preach, be taken off, and discharged.
Ordered, That Mr. Younge and Mr. Maynard do bring in an Ordinance for Settling of Ministers in the several Prisons of the Kingdom, and for Setting of Prisoners on Work during the Time of their Imprisonment: And that they do speak with Mr. Hawkins concerning any Way or Means for the setting the Poor on Work.
Ordered, That the Sum of Ten thousand Pounds be forthwith advanced and paid unto the Treasurers for maimed Soldiers, at Christ-Church, by the Committee at Goldsmiths-Hall, to be employed for the Payment of the poor Widows and Wives of Soldiers and Officers, and others, for whom the like Sum was formerly appointed, to be paid out of the Excise, and to be issued according to such Directions, and to such Persons, as the Committee of this House where Sir Thomas Dacres has the Chair, shall appoint.
Ordered, That the House do meet in a Committee, on Friday Sevennight in the Morning, the first Business, to take into further Consideration the Ordinance for preventing the Growth and Spreading of Heresies and Blasphemies.
