Preachers thanked.

ORDERED, That Mr. Leman do, from this House, give Thanks unto Mr. Thomas Goodwyn, for the great Pains he took in his Sermon, preached on this Day at Margarett's, Westminster, before the House of Commons: And that he be desired to print his Sermon: Wherein he is to have the like Privilege of Printing of it, as others in the like Kind usually have had.

Ordered, That Sir Walter Erle do, from this House, give Thanks unto Mr. Whittacre, for the great Pains he took in his Sermon, preached on this Day at Margarett's, Westminster, before the House of Commons: And that he be desired to print his Sermon: Wherein he is to have the like Privilege in Printing of it, as others in the like Kind usually have had.

Ordered, That Mr. Aiscough do, from this House, desire Mr. Hodges to preach before the House of Commons, at Margarett's, Westminster, on the next monthly Fast Day.

Ordered, That Mr. Love do, from this House, desire Mr. Marshall to preach before the House of Commons, at Margaret's, Westminster, on the next monthly Fast Day.

Observation of Sabbath, &c.

An additional Ordinance for the more strict Observation of the Sabbath Day, and of other Days set apart for Fasting, and publick Humiliation, was this Day read the First and Second time; and, upon the Question, committed unto the Committee that brought it in: And they are to bring it in on Friday Morning next, the first Business; and nothing to intervene: And the Care of this Business is more particularly referred unto Mr. Dodderige, and Mr. Weaver, who is added to this Committee.

Westminster Abbey, &c.

Ordered, That the Committee of Westminster College do take effectual Care that there be Preaching in the Abbey Church of Westminster, and the New Church, on the Fast Days: And that they take some effectual Course to restrain Walking, by any Person or Persons, in the Abbey, the Cloyster or Church-yard, during the Time of Sermon, and Divine Service; and to restrain and punish the Playing of Children, or others in any Part of the said Places, in any Time of the Lord's Day, to the Profanation thereof.
