PRAYERS.

Preventing spreading of Sickness.

ORDERED, That it be referred to the Justices of Peace of Westminster and Liberties, and the Vestries of the Parishes of Westminster and Martin's in the Fields, to take care, that * Hasilton, complained of, whose House is visited with the Sickness, be kept in, according to the Course in the like Cases: And that he do not open his House, or his Shop Windows, or utter or make Sale of any Wares: And if he shall be refractory, and not conform to the said Course, that then they shall have Power to send him to the next Pest House, to be maintained at the Charge of Martin's Parish; and the Governors of the next Pest House are required to receive him accordingly.

Issue to Earl of Ormond.

Ordered, That it be especially recommended to the Committee at Goldsmiths Hall, to take care that the latter Moiety of the Monies payable to the Earl of Ormond, upon the Engagement with him, may be paid accordingly:

And Mr. Annesley, Mr. Wheeler, and Colonel Birch, are desired to press this Business at Goldsmiths Hall; and to take care that the said Monies may be speedily paid.

Delinquents Compositions.

Ordered, That, on Tuesday next peremptorily, the Committee at Goldsmiths Hall do make their Reports concerning the Compositions with Delinquents at Goldsmiths Hall, the first Business: And that no other Business whatsoever do intervene.

Irish Commissioners.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Committee at Derby House, to take care that the several Commissioners employed from the Parliament into Ireland, may be paid the Allowances assigned unto them, according to the Proportions agreed upon by the Committee for the Affairs of Ireland, out of the Monies designed for the Service of that Kingdom.

Ordered, That Mr. Holles be required to appear here, at or before the Sixteenth of October next, to answer such Things as shall be objected against him.

Ordered, That Sir Wm. Lewes be required to appear here, at or before the Sixteenth of October next, to answer such Things as shall be objected against him.

Ordered, That Sir William Waller be required to appear here, at or before the Sixteenth of October next, to answer such Matters as shall be objected against him.

Ordered, That Sir John Clotworthy be required to appear here, at or before the Sixteenth of October next, to answer such Things as shall be objected against him.

Ordered, That Colonel Edward Massie be required to appear here, at or before the Sixteenth of October next, to answer such Things as shall be objected against him.

Ordered, That Mr. Walter Long be required to appear here, at or before the Sixteenth of October next, to answer such Things as shall be objected against him.

Ordered, That Mr. Anthony Nicoll be required to appear here, at or before the Sixteenth of October next, to answer such Things as shall be objected against him.

It is further Ordered, That the Serjeant do appoint one of his Servants to leave notice of this Order at the House, or usual or last Place of Abode, of every of the said Gentlemen.

Ordered, That Sir John Maynard be summoned and required to attend here on Tuesday next, to answer such Matters as shall be objected against him.

Ordered, That Mr. Recorder be summoned and required to attend here on Monday next, to answer such Matters as shall be objected against him.

Scotts Commissioners, &c.

Ordered, That Power be given to any Four of the Members of this House, that are of the Committee of both Kingdoms, to meet and confer with the Scotts Commissioners, according to the Order of both Houses, agreed on Yesterday, and to receive from them such Paper or Answer as they shall receive from the Scotts Commissioners; and report it to the House.

Scotts Army in Ireland.

A Letter to be sent to the Lord Chancellor of Scotland, to give notice concerning the Resolution of the Houses to recal the Scotts Army out of Ireland, Yesterday sent from the Lords, was read; and, upon the Question, assented unto.

Mayor, &c. of Worcester,

Ordered, That Mr. Edward Elvins, that was Mayor of the City of Worcester the last Year, and yet is Mayor, shall continue Mayor, until both Houses take further Order; notwithstanding any late Election made of any other; and notwithstanding any Charter, Order, Custom, or Usage, of the City to the contrary.

It is further Ordered, That no Person whatsoever shall be elected Sheriff, or have any other Office within the said City, that hath been in Arms against the Parliament, or hath aided or assisted the Enemy, or hath been or is sequestered.

Litchfield Sequestrations.

Ordered, That the Committee of Sequestrations for the County of Stafford shall have hereby Power to put in Execution the several Ordinances of Sequestration within the City and County of the City of Litchfield.

Persons acting against Parliament.

Be it Declared, Ordered, and Ordained, by the Lords, and Commons, in Parliament assembled, That no Person whatsoever, that hath been in Arms against the Parliament, or hath been aiding or assisting the Forces of the Enemy, or hath been or is sequestered, shall be elected or constituted Mayor, Alderman, Bailiff, Sheriff, Justice of Peace, Steward of any Court, Constable, or any other Officer in any City, Borough, or Town Corporate, within the Kingdom of England, Dominion of Wales, and Town of Berwick. And in case any such Persons, as aforesaid, be elected into any of the Offices aforesaid, in any of the aforesaid Places, the Lords and Commons do declare all such Elections to be void and null.
