Deans and Chapters Lands.
The Question being propounded, That the Proportion of the Purchase to be made, by any Person, upon any Debt or Debts transferred upon Deans and Chapters Lands, shall not be under Fifteen Years Purchase for Lands in Possession; and for Reversions after the same Proportion;
It was Resolved, &c. That the Proportion of the Purchase to be made, by any Person, upon any Debt or Debts transferred upon Deans and Chapters Lands, shall not be under Fifteen Years Purchase for Lands in Possession; and for Reversion after the same Proportion.
A Proviso, touching Fifteen Years Purchase to be given by such Persons whose Debts are transferred from the Excise, or Goldsmiths Hall, except those Debts be doubled, was tendered at the Table; and read the First and Second time.
Discovery of Delinquent's Property.
Whereas Information was given of a Sum of Money discovered, belonging to a Delinquent: It is Ordered, by the Commons, assembled in Parliament, That the Serjeant at Arms attending this House, or one or more of his Deputies, do go, with Lieutenant Colonel Medopp, who gave the said Information, and forthwith secure the said Money, and give an Account thereof to the Council of State: Who are to examine, To whom the same doth belong: And in case it shall appear to belong to any Delinquent; whereby the same is sorfeited to the State; then they are to give such Recompense, out of the said Money, to the said Lieutenant Colonel Medopp, for the Discovery thereof, such Sum as they shall think fit.
