Prayers.

Correspondence with Holland.

ORDERED, That Mr. Speaker be, and is hereby, impowered to sign such Letters as shall be prepared by the Council of State to be sent into Holland.

Compositions.

Ordered, That on Tuesday next, this House do take into Consideration the Business touching the Case of such Persons as are in Arrear for their Compositions, and have Right to some Mitigation, and of such as are denied the Benefit of Articles by the Committee of Goldsmiths Hall.

Excise.

The House this Day proceeded with the List of the Anticipations on the Excise.

Resolved, That, for such Sums, as being formerly charged upon the Excise for any particular Use, shall be transferred from the Excise, and put upon the Security of Deans and Chapters Lands, as to those particular Uses to which they were respectively assigned, the like Sums, in the room of those so transferred, shall continue charged upon the Excise, in the same Course, respectively, for the Use of the Commonwealth.

Excise.

Resolved, That, for such Sums, as, being formerly charged upon the Excise for any particular Use, are now ordered to be taken off from the Excise, as to those particular Uses, for which they were assigned; the like Sums, in the room of those so taken off, shall be continued charged upon the Excise, in the same Course, respectively, for the Use of the Commonwealth.

Resolved, That the Charge of Two thousand Five hundred and Ninety-one Pounds Seventeen Shillings and Six-pence, to Mr. Samuel Vassal, be taken off from the Excise.

Resolved, That the Charge of the Sum of One thousand Four hundred and Forty Pounds, to Sir Thomas Soames, be taken off from the Excise.

Resolved, That the Charge of Eight hundred Pounds, to Colonel Birch, be taken off from the Excise.

Resolved, That the Charge of One thousand Pounds, to Captain Plunkett, be taken off from the Excise.

Resolved, That the Charge of Thirteen thousand Eight hundred and Four Pounds, to the Merchant Adventurers, be taken off from the Excise; and transferred to Dean and Chapters Lands.

Resolved, That Twenty-three thousand Five hundred and Sixty-six Pounds One Shilling and One Peny Halfpeny, to Adam Aires, for Northern Officers, charged upon all the Securities given the Army, be transferred and settled upon the same Security that the rest of the Arrears of the Army are to be.

Resolved, That the Charge of One thousand Seven hundred and Fifty-five . . . . ., with Interest, to Daniel Potter, be taken off from the Excise.

Resolved, That the Charge of Four thousand Pounds, to the Lancashire Forces, Part of the Army's One hundred and Fifty-thousand Pounds, be taken off from the Excise.

Resolved, That the Sum of Five thousand Pounds, charged on the Excise, to be paid to Alderman Bunce, for private Soldiers, with Interest; Twenty-seven thousand Pounds, charged on the Excise, to be paid to Alderman Bunce, for Officers, with Interest; and the Sum of Ten thousand Pounds, charged on the Excise, to be paid unto the Northern Association, with Interest; be taken off from the Excise.

Resolved, &c. That the Ten thousand Pounds, with Interest, charged on the Excise to the Eastern Association, be transferred from the Excise, to be paid out of Deans and Chapters Lands.

Resolved, That the Sum of Five thousand Pounds, charged upon the Excise to be paid to Newcastle, be taken off.

Resolved, &c. That the Sum of Five hundred Pounds, charged upon the Excise for Scarborough, be taken off.

Resolved, &c. That the Sum of Six thousand Pounds, charged upon the Excise to be paid to Hull, be taken off.

Resolved, &c. That the Sum of Five hundred Pounds, with Interest, charged on the Excise to be paid to Bristoe, with Interest, be taken off.

Resolved, &c. That the Twenty thousand Pounds, charged on the Excise to be paid to the Northern Forces, be taken off.

Resolved, &c. That the Ten thousand Pounds for the Lancashire Forces, charged on the Excise, be taken off.

Goldsmiths Hall Revenue.
