Sheriff of Norfolk.
ORDERED, by the Parliament, That Sir Edward Astelye Knight, be and is nominated and appointed Sheriff for the County of Norfolk, for this Year, in the Place of Thomas Wright Esquire, late deceased: And that the Lords Commissioners for the Great Seal of England do issue forth a Commission, under the said Great Seal, to him to be Sheriff, accordingly.
Embassy from Sweden.
Mr. Speaker, by way of Report, acquaints the Parliament, That he had received Copies of Letters Credential from the Queen of Sweden to Monsieur Benjamin Bonnell, in Latin, with the Translation in English: Which were this Day read.
A Letter from Admiral Blake and Admiral Deane, from aboard the Triumph, some Five Leagues off the Isle of Whight, of the 19th of February 1652, was this Day read. And the same, with the Abstract, were delivered back to the Reporter.
Ordered, That it be referred to the Commissioners for the Admiralty, to consider of the Persons slain in this Engagement with the Dutch, already presented; and which shall appear to have been slain there; and, upon Consideration with the Generals, present to the Parliament what they shall think fit to be done therein: And that they make this Report, when the whole Relation of this Business shall be made.
Ordered, That the Commissioners for inspecting the Treasuries do make their Report on Thursday Morning next, touching the Condition of the Treasuries for the Supply of the Navy: And that they offer what they think fit, for removing Obstructions that hinder the bringing in, or such other Things as may advance or bring in, ready Money.
Ordered, That, until Monies arising out of the PrizeOffice for Relief of sick and wounded Men, and other Occasions in the printed Votes, do come into that Treasury, for the Purposes aforesaid, the Commissioners of the Admiralty do give Order to the Commissioners of the Navy, to issue out their Warrants to the Treasurers for the Navy, to issue such Monies out of any Monies in the Treasury, for Supply of those Occasions in the mean time, as the Commissioners for the Admiralty shall think fit; the same Monies to be reimbursed to the Treasury of the Navy out of those Monies arising by the Prize Goods, as they shall come in.

Ordered, That Sir Edward Astelye Knight, who is nominated Sheriff for the County of Norfolk, be required and enjoined forthwith to sue out his Patent to be Sheriff, and to take upon him the Execution of the said Office.
The House, this Day, according to former Order, resumed the Debate upon the Paper, intituled, The humble Representation of the Officers of the Army in Ireland, presented on Friday last, by Sir Hardres Waller and others.

Resolved, That, upon the Desires of Mr. Weaver, the Parliament is content, and doth agree, that he be dispensed with for his further Attendance upon his Employment in Ireland, as one of the Commissioners of Parliament there.
Resolved, That it be referred to the Committee to whom the Business touching Colonel Temple is referred, to examine the Breach of Privilege in arresting Sir Thomas Walsingham; and to report the same to the House; with Power to send for Persons, Papers.
