Army.
SIR Charles Wolseley reports from the Council of State;
THAT the Committee of the Army may be impowered to add to the Establishment of the Army, for Three Months to come, to begin from the 22th of August inclusive, Five hundred Men, which were then raised by Order of the Council, for the Recruiting of the Lord General his Regiment of Foot; and a Chirurgeon and Gunsmith, with their Mates, for the same time, for the Service of the said Regiment; as also Two new Companies, each consisting of One hundred Men, and Forty Men, raised by Order of the Council, and added to the Two old Companies in the Tower, for the Strengthening of the Guard there; and put under the Command of the Lieutenant of the Tower.

The House, according to former Order, took into Consideration the Business of Religion.
The humble Petition of Three Churches of Christ in Exeter, Biddiford and Luppit, was this Day read.
The humble Petition of several Churches of Christ, and many others well-affected to Reformation, in the County of Gloucester, was this Day read.
Resolved, That a Committee be appointed to consider of some Way to be propounded to the House, how ignorant, profane, and scandalous Ministers may be rejected.
Resolved, That it be referred to the same Committee, to consider of some Way to be propounded to the House, for the Encouragement of such godly and able Persons as shall preach the Gospel.
Resolved, That it be referred to the Committee for Tythes.
Leave of Absence.
Resolved, That Captain Cust have Leave to go into the Country for a Fortnight.
