MR. Serjeant Glyn reports, a Proclamation for putting of all Laws and Statutes made against Seminaries, Jesuits, and Romish Priests, in speedy and effectual Execution: Which was this Day read the First and Second time; and, upon the Question, ordered to be ingrossed.
Tythes in Wales.
Colonel Harley reports, from the Committee for Religion, An Act for taking the Accounts, and Redressing of Grievances, concerning the Tythes and Church-Livings in Wales; and for the Advancement of Religion and Learning there: Which was this Day read the First and Second time; and, upon the Question, committed to the Committee that brought it in: And all the Knights and Burgesses that serve for Wales, Mr. Oldsworth, Mr. Hodges, Mr. Serjeant Glyn, Sir Edward Partridge, Mr. Pryn, Lord Chief-Baron Wild, Sir Wm. Wheeler, be added to that Committee.
Grant to Gen. Mouck.
The House being informed, That the Qualifications read, and reported, were, by the Committee, lost: Whereupon Mr. John Nelthorpe, who formerly reported the said Qualifications, informed the House, That he had a true Copy of the said Qualifications: Which he produced; and the same were read.
Calling a Parliament.
An Act for the Calling and Holding of a Parliament at Westminster, the Twenty-fifth Day of April 1660, was this Day read the Second time; and, upon the Question, committed, upon the Debate of the House, unto Mr. Hodges, Mr. Annesley, Mr. Stephens, Mr. Knightley, Mr. Crew, Mr. John Stephens, Sir Peter Wentworth, Mr. Long, Sir Wm. Lewis, Mr. Pryn, Sir Anthony Ashley Cooper, Mr. Morris, Mr. Boys, Sir Gilbert Gerrard, Sir Anthony Irby, Colonel Martin, Mr. Serjeant Maynard, Sir Henry Cholmley, Colonel Rosseter, Mr. Copley, Mr. Serjeant Glyn, Colonel Morley, Mr. Scot, Mr. Robinson, Sir John Evelyn of Wilts, Mr. Weaver, Sir Edward Partridge, Mr. Povey, Sir Harbottle Grimston, Mr. Serjeant Earle, Sir John Evelyn of Surrey, Sir Arthur Hesilrig, Sir John Potts, Mr. Serjeant Twisden, Lord Chief Baron Wild, Mr. Attorney Lechmere, Mr. Solicitor Ellys, Colonel Lister, and all the Gentlemen of the Long Robe: And all that will come to have Voices: And that the Qualifications, read in the House, be referred to this Committee, to consider of them; and to consider, What further Qualifications are fit to be added: And are to meet this Afternoon, at Three of the Clock, in the Speakers Chamber.
