Merchants Ships.
A BILL to prevent the Yielding up of English Ships to Turkish Ships, or Sea Pirates, was read the First time.
Resolved, &c. That this Bill be read the Second time on Thursday next.
Lord's Day.
A Bill for the better Observation of the Lord's Day was read the First time.
Resolved, &c. That this Bill be read the Second time, on Thursday next.
Courts of Justice.
A Bill to prevent unnecessary Delays, Expences, Vexations, and Grievances, in Courts of Law and Equity, and supplying some Defects in Law, and legal Proceedings, and Executions, was read the First time.
Resolved, &c. That this Bill be read the Second time, on Saturday Morning next.
Triennial Parliament.
The House then took into Debate the Matter concerning the Act for a Triennial Parliament.
And a printed Copy thereof being produced;
The Question being put, That the Act, intituled, An Act for the Preventing of Inconveniences happening by the long Intermission of Parliaments, in the Impression produced, be read;
It was resolved in the Affirmative.
And the Act was read; and debated.
Resolved, &c. That a Bill be brought in for repealing the Act, intituled, An Act for the Preventing of Inconveniences happening by the long Intermission of Parliaments; and for the better Provision of the Calling and Holding of Parliaments once in Three Years, at the least: And that Sir John Brampston do bring in the Bill.
And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Eight of the Clock.
