Resolved, That the same be committed to Mr. Griffith, Sir Robert Holt, Mr. Oakeley, Mr. Lloyd, Mr. Pryn, Lord St. John, Mr. Pursell, Sir Lancelot Lake, Mr. Spry, Colonel Robinson, Mr. Yorke, Mr. Musgrave, Mr. Glascocke, Sir Arthur Owen, Colonel Strangwayes, Mr. Arris, Mr. Daniell, Sir Richard Oately, Sir Jeffry Shackerly, Mr. Roberts, Mr. Hender Roberts, Mr. Chetwyn, Sir Tho. Littleton, Dr. Burwell, Mr. Street, Sir Phillip Musgrave, Sir Thomas Allen, Colonel Layherne, Sir Charles Harbord, Mr. Attorney of the Duchy, Sir Edward Masters, Sir John Birkinhead, Mr. Laton, Sir Henry Newton, Mr. Henley, Mr. Mallett, and all the Members that serve for North Wales: And they are to meet at Two of the Clock Tomorrow in the Afternoon, in the Speaker's Chamber: And to send for Persons, Papers, and Records.

Browne, Sir John Bramston, Mr. Attorney of the Duchy, Sir Solomon Swale, Colonel Strangwayes, Sir Rich Oately, Dr. Burwell, Mr. Musgrave, Mr. Spry, Mr. Harris, Colonel Bisshop, Sir Thomas Peyton, Mr. Glascocke, be added to the Committee to which the Matter for preventing the Meetings of Sectaries is referred.
Mr. Mallett reports from the Committee to which the ingrossed Bill sent from the Lords, for vesting certain Lands of John Coppleston in Sir Francis Vincent Knight and Baronet, and others, in Trust, for Payment of his Debts, was committed, That the Committee had carefully perused the Bill; and find the same very just, and reasonable; and so no Cause to make any Alteration or Amendment thereto: And delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table.
E. of Portland's Estate.
An ingrossed Bill, sent from the Lords, for settling an Annuity of Three hundred Pounds per Annum upon Charles Earl of Portland; and for the Benefit of Willoughby Whitlocke, Bulstrode Whitlocke, and Carleton Whitlocke, Infants; and for Confirming of Agreement made to compose Suits in Law against them; being returned from the Committee, without any Amendment; was read the Third time.
Resolved, That the Title of the said Bill, being, An Act for settling an Annuity of Three hundred Pounds per Annum upon Charles Earl of Portland; and for the Benefit of Willoughby Whitlocke, Bulstrode Whitlocke, and Carleton Whitlocke, Infants; and for Confirming of Agreements made to compose Suits in Law against them; be also agreed to.
29 May, the Restoration.
Ordered, That this House will solemnize the Twentyninth Day of this present May, being the Day of his Majesty's happy Birth and Restoration, in St. Margarett's Church, Westminster: And Doctor Creyton, Dean of Wells, is desired to preach before the House, in St. Margarett's Church, that Day: And Sir John Birkenhead and Colonel Windham are to intimate the Request of this House to Mr. Deane Creyton.
Ordered, That the Committee to which the Bill for enlarging an Act made in 43° Eliz. for Relief of the Poor, be revived; and do sit in the Place formerly appointed, To-morrow at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon: And these Members following are added to the Committee; viz. Mr. Attorney of the Duchy, Sir John Birkenhead, Colonel Windham, Colonel Robinson, Sir George Grubham How, Sir Tho. Littleton, Mr. Pepis, Dr. Burwell, Sir Rich. Oateley, Sir Tho. Allen, Mr. Yorke, Sir Edmond Peirse, Sir Rich. Browne, Mr. Knight, and all the Members of this House that serve for the Cities of London and Westminster, and the County of Middlesex.
Mr. Hungerford reports from the Committee to which the Bill for distinguishing what Mines shall be taken for Mines Royal, was committed, some Amendments to be made to the Bill: Which being once read; and the First Amendment being read the Second time, and debated;
Resolved, &c. That the Bill be re-committed to the former Committee, upon the present Debates in the House, touching the Proportions of Silver and Gold to be contained in the Ore; and to view the Grants and Patents concerning Mines Royal; and to summon and hear the King's Majesty's Counsel, and other Persons concerned as Members of the Corporations constituted, touching Mines Royal; and to provide a Clause or Proviso for Preservation of his Majesty's Interest in the Mines he does enjoy; and also to consider of erecting a Standard for ascertaining the Proportions; and report their Opinions therein to the House: And all the Members of this House of the Long Robe, are added to the Committee: And the Committee is hereby revived: And they are to meet To-morrow at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon, in the Speaker's Chamber.
Ordered, That Alexander Davies, William Dockwra, John Warner, and Francis Gregg, be sent for in the Custody of the Serjeant at Arms attending this House, or his Deputy, for their Breach of Privilege, in causing Actions of Ejectment to be brought, and Declaration to be delivered, to Mr. Oneale, a Member of this House, and his Tenant, to try the Title of certain Messuages and Lands in the Possession of the said Mr. Oneale, and his Tenants.
Sale of Offices.
Sir Charles Harbord reports from the Committee appointed to inspect several Branches of his Majesty's Revenue, That the Committee was of Opinion, that the House be moved, that those Members that were appointed to attend his Majesty, to desire him, That no Grant be passed, or Contract made, of or touching the Post Office, until the Committee shall have inspected the same, and made Report thereof to the House, as well for the Improvement of the Revenue, as for the better Management of that Office, do make Report of his Majesty's Answer; that this Committee may proceed therein, according to the Order of the House: And that it was the Opinion of the Committee, That this House be moved to declare their Judgment, touching Extra-parochial Tythes, Whether they belong to his Majesty; and if so, that the Members of each County do give their Assistance for the finding of them out in all Places where any such are.
Ordered, That it be referred to the same Committee to inquire into the Matter touching Extra-parochial Tythes, and the Values of them; and what Grants have been made of them; and to report the Matter to the House: And the Committee is impowered to make a Sub-Committee for examining of this Matter, if they see Cause.
Lands gained from the Sea.
Resolved, That a Committee be appointed to inquire into the undue Execution of a Commission, issued into the County of Sussex, for Discovery of Lands gained from the Sea; or any other Commissions of like Nature; viz. Mr. Vaughan, Mr. Clifford, Sir Edm. Pooley, Serjeant Charleton, Sir George Ryve, Sir Lanc. Lake, Mr. Attorney of the Duchy, Mr. Cooke, Sir Charles Hussey, Mr. Yorke, Mr. Kent, Sir Herbert Price, Mr. Garraway, Mr. Solicitor General, Sir Tho. Meeres, Mr. Whorwood, Mr. Mountague, Mr. Pryn, Sir Francis Goodrick, Sir John Duncombe, Sir Wm. Stroode, Sir Anth. Irby, Mr. Coventry, Mr. Sandys, Colonel Williams, Sir Allan Apsley, Mr. Newport, Sir Hen. Capell, Sir Tho. Tompkins, Mr. Westfaling, Sir Chichester Wray, Sir Rich. Browne, Mr. Hungerford, Mr. Mallett, Mr. Henry Coventry, Sir Wm. Doyley, Mr. Wren, Sir Solomon Swale, Sir Robert Holt, Sir Edm. Peirse, Sir Rich. Oately, and all the Members of this House that serve for the County of Sussex, or any other maritime Counties, are hereby appointed to be of the Committee: And all the Members that come are to have Voices: And they are hereby impowered to consider of, and receive Complaints touching Commissions, Patents, or Grants which are Grievances; and to send for Persons, Papers, and Records: And they are to meet To-morrow at Two of the Clock, in the Exchequer Chamber: And to report their Proceedings and Opinions to the House.
Ordered, That the Committee to which the Bill touching the Draining of Lindsey Level is committed, be hereby impowered to receive and take into Consideration such Petitions as shall be offered to them touching the said Level.
