Momma's, &c. Petition.

A PETITION of Jacob Momma, Daniell Demetrius, and Peter Hoet, was this Day read.

Resolved, &c. That the said Petition be referred to a Committee of these Members following; viz. Sir Wm. Compton, Mr. Knight, Sir John Birkinhead, Sir Wm. Thompson, Sir Phil. Hertford, &c. Roads.

Amendments, sent from the Lords, to the Bill, sent up from this House, for repairing the Highways within the Counties of Hertford, Cambridge, and Huntington, were this Day twice read; and, upon the Question, severally agreed to.

Ordered, That the Bill be amended: And the Lord Fanshaw is to carry it back to the Lords.

Marq. of Winchester's Award.

Mr. Hungerford reports from the Committee to which the Bill for confirming an Award made by his Majesty, for settling the Differences between the Lord Marquis of Winchester and his Son, was committed, several Amendments to be made, and a Proviso to be added, to the said Bill: Which Amendments were twice read; and, upon the Question, severally agreed to.

The Proviso was read the Second time.

Resolved, &c. That the said Proviso be agreed to.

Resolved, That the Bill, with the Amendments and Proviso, be agreed to.

London, &c. Streets.

Ordered, That the Committee appointed to inspect the Act for repairing the Streets and Highways in and near the Cities of London and Westminster; and to examine the Matter touching Hackney Coachmen; be revived; and do sit To-morrow, at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon, in the Speaker's Chamber.

Sectaries, &c.

A Bill to retain his Majesty's Subjects in their due Obedience, and to provide Remedies against the unlawful Assemblies, Conventicles, and Meetings of Sectaries, Nonconformists, and Dissenters from the Church; was this Day read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That this Bill be read the Second time To-morrow Morning.

Exporting Wool.

A Petition of the Clothiers and Workers of Woolen Manufactures of the County of Devon, and City of Exon, was this Day read.

Resolved, &c. That a Committee be appointed to inspect the present Laws touching the Transportation of Woolen Manufactures; and see whether the same are sufficient; and to inquire what Benefit has accrued to the Subjects of this Kingdom, by the late Suspension of the Patent granted to the Merchant Adventurers; and also to consider of the Imposition designed to be laid on, by the Hollander, on Woolen Manufactures; and, upon the whole Matter, if they find it necessary, to bring in a Bill to supply the former Laws, and advance the Clothing Trade; viz. Sir James Smith, Mr. Knight, Sir Wm. Thompson, Sir Wm. Compton, Colonel Birch, Colonel Strangwayes, Mr. Solicitor General, Sir Edm. Bowyer, Mr. Yorke, Sir Rich. Temple, Mr. Higgons, Sir John Duncombe, Sir John Coriton, Mr. Westphaling, Colonel Robinson, Sir Rich. Fora, Mr. Clifford, Sir John Frederick, Mr. George, Sir Courtney Poole, Mr. Coventry, Sir Sol. Chimney Money.

Sir Charles Harbord reports from the Committee of the Revenue, the Opinion of the Committee, That the House be moved to order, that all the Returns touching the Chimney Money, be brought into the Court of Wards Chamber: And that the Members of every County do resort thither, on some Afternoon, to be appointed by the House, when no Committee may sit; and there take out the Returns of their respective Counties; and consider the same; and make a Judgment of the Defects in those Returns; and what each respective County may probably produce: And then to compare their several Observations, and make a Computation of the Whole, to be reported to the House, with their first Conveniency: Which Report he delivered in at the Clerk's Table: And the same being twice read, was, upon the Question, agreed to.

Ordered, That the Committee of the King's Revenue do sit in the House on Saturday next, in the Afternoon; and do proceed in the Matter touching the Chimney Monies, according to the Report: And that no other Committee do then sit.

Leave of Absence.

Ordered, That Mr. James have the Leave of this House to go into the Country.

Militia.

Ordered, That the House will, on Monday Morning next, at Ten of the Clock, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to proceed upon the Bill for the Militia.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Eight of the Clock.
