Prayers.

Isaack Stockman, and John Jacob Bertu did this Day take the Oaths of Allegiance and Supremacy before the Speaker, at the Clerk's Table, in order to their Naturalization.

Shadwell Church.

A Bill for making a Parish, and erecting and endowing a Church at Shadwell in the County of Middlesex, was read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That this Bill be read a Second time.

Lady Lee's Estate.

A Bill for settling Differences between the Lady Elliz. Lee and the Daughters and Coheirs of Sir Thomas Pope, late Earl of Downe, was read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill be read the Second time To-morrow Morning.

Yarmouth Pier.

A Bill for repairing and maintaining the Harbour and Pier of Yarmouth, was read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That this Bill be read a Second time.

Tamworth Election.

A Petition of Charles Lord Clifford was read, complaining of an undue Return of the Bailiffs of the Town of Tamworth, of Mr. Ferrers, to serve for that Town, when the Lord Clifford was duly elected.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Committee of Elections, to examine the Matter of the Petition, and certify it, with their Opinions therein, to the House.

Dover Pier.

A Motion being made for Leave to bring in a Bill for Continuance of a former Act for Repair of Dover Pier;

But it being moved, that an Account might be given, how the Monies already raised, had been expended, before Leave be given for a new Bill;

Ordered, That a Committee be appointed to inspect the former Act of Parliament for Repair of Dover Pier; and to take an Account of what Monies have been raised thereby; or what hath been raised or received by any other Way or Means for Repair of the said Pier; and how the same hath been expended; and in what Condition the Pier stands; and report it, with their Opinions therein, to the House: And that it be referred to Mr. Secretary Trevor, Mr. Garraway, Mr. Buscawen, Mr. Treasurer, Sir Wm. Doyley, Sir Jo. Knight, Mr. Sprye, Sir Solom. Swale, Col. Gilby, Mr. Montague, Sir Winston Churchill, Mr. Clarke, Sir Thom. Gower, Sir Thomas Meres, Mr. Dowdswell, Mr. King, Mr. Seymour, Sir Nico. Cary, Sir Jo. Duncombe, Sir Thomas Lee, Sir Wm. Coventry, Sir Wm. Lowther, Col. Williams, Col. Birch, Mr. George, Sir Robert Howard, Col. Stroude, Sir Jo. Tuften, Lord Fanshaw, Mr. Baptist May, Lord Hawley, Sir Robert Carr, and all the Members that serve for Kent, or any Port Town: And they are to meet on Monday next, at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon, in the Speaker's Chamber: And to send for Persons, Papers, and Records, in order to the Examination of the Matter referred.

Arrangement for proceeding on Business.

The Question being propounded, That the Business of Accounts be taken into Consideration To-morrow Morning; the Jurisdiction of the Lords, on Monday Morning; the Union of England and Scotland, on Tuesday Morning; and his Majesty's Supply, on Wednesday Morning next:

Publick Accounts.

Ordered, That the Commissioners of Accounts be desired to attend the House on Monday Morning next: And, if they have any new Matter, to offer it to the House.

Supply.

The Question being put, That the Speaker leave the Chair; and the House go into a Committee upon the King's Supply;

It was resolved in the Affirmative.

Resolved, &c. That Sir Robert Atkins do take the Chair of the Committee.

The House then resolved into a Committee of the whole House, to take into consideration the Manner and Proportion of his Majesty's Supply.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.
Sir Robert Atkins took the Chair of the Committee.
Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Sir Robert Atkins reports from the said Committee, that they had made some Progress in the Consideration of his Majesty's Supply; and that they came to this Resolution; viz.

That the King's Supply be raised by an Imposition on Wines, excluding a Land Tax and Home Excise; so as it do not exclude the Debate of laying of it upon the Retailer or first Buyer.

Resolved, &c. That this House doth agree with the Committee, that the King's Supply be raised by an Imposition on Wines, excluding a Land Tax and Home Excise; so as it do not exclude the Debate of laying of it upon the Retailer or first Buyer.

Resolved, &c. That this House will resolve into a Committee of the whole House To-morrow Morning Ten of the Clock, to take into further Consideration the Manner and Proportion of his Majesty's Supply.

Ordered, That all Committees that were to sit this Afternoon, be adjourned till To-morrow in the Afternoon, at Two of the Clock.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Eight of the Clock.
