Prayers.

Detlof Heitmam, Son of John Heitman, did this Day take the Oaths of Allegiance and Supremacy before the Speaker, at the Clerk's Table, in order to his Naturalization.

Bancks Estate.

A Bill for confirming the Estate of Sir Ralph Bancks, in the Manor of Thirsbeskett, and other Lands in the County of Carmarthen, was read the Second time.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill be committed to Sir Edm. Pooley, Sir Lanc. Lake, Col. Kirkby, Sir Wm. Lowther, Col. Gilby, Mr. Steward, Sir Allen Brodrick, Mr. Johnson, Lord Fanshaw, Sir Jo. A Bill to enable a Sale of Lands for Payment of the Debts, and making Provision for the younger Children, of Sir Cuthbert Heron, was read the Second time.

Lady Lee's Estate.

Sir Allen Brodrick reports from the Committee to which the Bill for settling Differences between the Lady Eliz. Lee, and the Daughters and Coheirs of Sir Thomas Pope, late Earl of Downe, was committed, Two Amendments agreed to be made to the Bill: Which being twice read, were severally agreed to: And after, delivered the Bill in at the Clerk's Table.

Resolved, That the Bill, with the Amendments agreed to, be ingrossed.

Corn and Salt Measures.

A Bill for settling of Measures, was read the First time.

Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second time.

Duty on Brandy.

Three Petitions being presented to the House, concerning Brandy;

The 1st, the Petition of the Distillers within the City of London, and Parts adjacent;

The 2d, Of the Farmers of his Majesty's Excise on imported Liquors;

The 3d, Of the Merchants, Importers of Brandy;

Ordered, That their Three Petitions concerning Brandy be taken into Consideration on Tuesday Morning next, at Nine of the Clock.

Tillage and Cattle.

A Bill for Encouragement of Tillage, was read the Second time.

And there being several Debates for extending the Bill to the Exportation of Beer and Coal; and for an Imposition on French Barley which shall be imported; and other Matters;

Regulating Markets.

Ordered, That a Bill be brought in for the regulating the Markets; and to prevent Abuses in the Grasing Trade, and Sale of Cattle: And it is referred to Mr. Steward to bring in the Bill.

Habeas Corpus Writs.

Ordered, That Sir Thomas Gower do bring in the Bill concerning Writs of Habeas Corpus.

Suppressing Convenucles.

Ordered, That Sir John Brampston do bring in the Bill against Conventicles, on Monday Morning.

Publick Bills depending.

Sir Thomas Meres reports from the Committee appointed to inspect the publick Bills, a List of several Bills which the Committee thought most necessary to receive Dispatch: Which he delivered in, with the Bills, at the Table: And the House appointed to read one of them every Morning, in order to their Dispatch.

Publick Accounts.

The House then proceeded to the Consideration of the Report of the Commissioners for Accounts, concerning Prize Goods.

And the Commissioners, being called in, delivered a further and more particular Report concerning that Matter, in Writing: Which was read; and, after their being withdrawn, was debated.

The Commissioners, being called in again; and asked, if they were now ready to make out Proof in any Particular of the Report; acquainted the House, that they were ready; but their Vouchers for that Purpose were many, and not now here: But they should be ready to attend with them at such Time as the House should appoint: And that, within a Day or two, they expected an Answer of some of the Commissioners for Prizes not yet brought in; after which they should be enabled to give an Account of the Whole.

Whereupon, it being left to them to appoint their own Time, they nominated Monday next come Sevennight.

Ordered, That the Commissioners for Accounts be desired to attend this House on Monday Sevennight at Ten of the Clock in the Morning, with their Proofs and Instances, to make good their Report concerning Prizes.

Ordered, That the Members of this House, concerned in the Accounts of Prizes, do attend the Commissioners for Accounts, and clear their Accounts with them by Monday Sevennight.

Registers.

Ordered, That the House will on Thursday next resolve into a Committee of the whole House, to consider of the Motion of bringing in a Bill of Registers.

And then the House adjourned . . Monday Morning, Eight of the Clock.
