Duchy of Cornewall Leasing.

SIR Jonathan Trelawny reports from the Committee to which the Bill for enabling his Majesty to make Leases of his Duchy Lands in Cornewall, some Amendments to be made to the Bill: Which he read, with the Coherence: And the same were afterwards delivered in at the Clerk's Table; and twice read.

A Proviso was tendered to be added to the Bill; and read:

Resolved, &c. That the Debate of the Proviso be adjourned till Ten of the Clock.

Hotchkins' Estate.

A Message from the Lords, by Sir John Coell and Mr. Halsey;

Mr. Speaker, The Lords have sent you down a Bill to enable Robert Hotchkins to sell Lands to pay Debts, and raise Portions for Daughters; to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Lady Belasyse's Estate.

Sir John Talbott reports from the Committee, to which the Bill, sent from the Lords, on the Behalf of the Lady Belasyse, was committed, some Amendments to be made, and a Proviso to be added, to the Bill: Which were twice read; and, upon the Question, agreed to:

And the Bill, with the Amendments and Proviso, were read the Third time; and agreed: And the Bill ordered to be returned to the Lords.

Brandon, &c. Navigation.

Amendments, sent from the Lords, to the Bill for makeing navigable the Rivers of Brandon and Waveney, were thrice read; and, upon the Question, agreed: And the Bill returned to the Lords.

Lord Strangford's Estate, &c.

The ingrossed Bills, on the Behalf of the Lord Strangford; Sir Francis Fane; Yarmouth Pier; and the Bills of John Bill; and Mr. Beckham; were read the Third time; and passed; and sent up to the Lords.

Lady Routh's Estate.

The Bill, sent from the Lords, on the Behalf of the Lady Routh, was read the Third time; and passed; and sent up to the Lords.

Fees in Out-ports.

Ordered, That Mr. Joliffe and Sir Charles Harbord be added to the Committee concerning the Out Ports.

Stockman's, &c. Nat.

Amendments and Additions, sent from the Lords, to the Bill of Naturalization, were twice read; and, upon the Question, agreed: And the Addition of some Names agreed to be made.

Ordered, That the Names of Horatio Woodhouse Clerk, Maria van loor Widow, Maurice van Rossensteyne, Aernout De laett, Louis Cayroze, and Elizabeth, Charles, and Stephen Fox, Children of Sir Stephen Fox, be added: And the Bill and Amendments, with this Addition, returned.

Dover Pier.

Mr. Spry reports from the Committee, to which the Matter touching Dover Pier, was committed, the State of the Case in relation to that Matter: Which being debated;

Resolved, &c. That his Majesty be humbly desired, by such Members of this House as are of his Privy Council, to issue out his Commission to such Commissioners as he shall think fit, to take an Account, upon Oath, of such Monies as have been received by virtue of the late Act of Parliament for repairing Dover Pier; and how it hath been expended; and in what Condition the Pier is; and whether any of the Money has been misemployed; and what Sum is necessary for the further Repair of the Pier: And report it, with their Opinions therein.

Lord Roos' Divorce.

The Bill sent from the Lords, for the Lord Mannors, called Lord Roos, to marry again, was read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That the said Bill be read a Second time To-morrow Morning at Ten of the Clock.

Conventicles.

Ordered, That the Report of the Amendments to the Bill against Conventicles, be heard To-morrow Morning.

Union with Scotland.

The Bill, sent from the Lords, concerning the Union between England and Scotland, was read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That it be read a Second time To-morrow Morning.

Duty on Brandy.

The ingrossed Bill for settling the Imposition on Brandy, was read the Third time.

Resolved, &c. That the said Bill do pass: And that the Title be, An Act for settling the Imposition on Brandy:

And that Colonel Birch do carry up the Bill to the Lords.

Privilege of a Member in a Suit.

The House being informed, that Sir Edmund Windham, a Member of this House, is sued to an Outlawry during his Privilege in Parliament, by Robert Mason and Thomas Shewell;

Ordered, That the said Robert Mason and Thomas Shewell be taken into Custody by the Serjeant at Arms attending this House, or his Deputy, for Breach of Privilege of this House, as aforesaid.

And then the House adjourned till Eight of the Clock To-morrow Morning.
