Prayers.

Dawes' Petition.

SIR John Brampston reports from the Committee to which the Petition of Sir John Dawes Baronet was committed, that the Committee had examined the Matter of the Petition; and heard the Parties concerned; and it was the Opinion of the Committee, that the Tallies mentioned in the Petition, be delivered to Sir John Dawes.

Ordered, That the Clerk of this House do deliver the Tallies mentioned in the Petition, to the said Sir John Dawes.

London Artificers, &c. Petition.

A Petition of divers poor Artificers, Handicraftsmen, and others, in and about the City of London, in Behalf of themselves and others, was read.

Resolved, &c. That the Petition be committed to Sir Charles Harbord, Sir Will. Coventry, Sir Anthony Irby, Mr. Coleman, Mr. Sprye, Sir Thom. Higgons, Sir Robert Carr, Mr. Waller, Colonel Kirby, Sir Thom. Clergis, Sir Gilbert Talbot, Mr. Love, Sir Winston Churchill, Sir Edm. Windham, Mr. Garraway, Mr. Pleydall, Sir Rich. Temple, Mr. Greenvile, Sir Gilbert Gerrard, Sir John Moreton, Mr. Wren, Sir John Lowther, Sir Jonath. Trelawny, Sir Adam Browne, Mr. Morrice, Mr. Hobby, Sir Herbert Price, Col. Whitley, Mr. Williamson, Sir Thom. Hanmer, Sir Robert Holt, Sir Edw. Massey, Sir Solom. Swale, Mr. Progers, Sir John Coventry, Sir Tho. Slingsby, Sir Phil. Mounckton: And all that shall come are to have Voices: And they are to meet on Monday next, at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon, in the Speaker's Chamber: And to send for Persons, Papers, and Records.

Supply.

Colonel Birch reports from the Committee to whom it was referred to set a Value and Estimate on the Commodities charged towards his Majesty's Supply, an Estimate in Writing: Which he read in his Place; and after, delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table, with some other Papers returned from the Farmers of the Customs.

Ordered, That the said Estimate and Papers be referred to the Consideration of the Committee of the whole House.

The House then resolved into a Committee of the whole House, upon the Consideration of the Valuation and Estimate of the Commodities charged towards his Majesty's Supply.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.

Mr. Seymour took the Chair of the Committee.

Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Mr. Seymour reports that the Committee, having considered of the Matters to them committed, were of Opinion, that the additional Duty charged upon the Excise, and the Impositions upon foreign Commodities, together with the Paper Bill, will, in the Whole, amount to Four hundred thousand Pounds per Annum.

Resolved, &c. That this House doth agree with the Committee in their Opinion, that the additional Duty charged upon the Excise, and the Impositions upon foreign Commodities, together with the Paper Bill, will, in the Whole, amount to Four hundred thousand Pounds per Annum.

Committees.

Ordered, That all Committees that were to sit this Afternoon, be adjourned till To-morrow, Two of the Clock in the Afternoon; to sit in the Places formerly appointed.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Eight of the Clock.
