Thyn's Jointure.

A BILL to enable Thomas Thyn Esquire to settle a Jointure upon his Wife, was read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill be read a Second time.

Winstead Manor.

A Bill for discharging the Manor of Winstead in the County of York from a Settlement in Tail; and chargeing other Manors and Lands in the County of Lincolne, with the same Uses; was read the Second time.

Resolved, &c. That this Bill be committed to Mr. Greenvile, Sir Hen. Capell, Sir Tho. Meeres, Sir Cirill Wych, Sir John Lowther, Colonel Tempest, Mr. Mann, Sir Fr. Russell, Sir Gervas Elwes, Sir Will. Hickman, Sir Wm. Haward, Mr. Osborne, Mr. Crowch, Sir John Covert, Sir Bain. Throgmorton, Mr. Williams, Capt. Price, Mr. Newport, Lord Castleton, Sir John Talbot, Sir Robert Barkeley, Sir Robert Carr, Sir Lyonell Walden, Sir Wm. Terringham, Colonel Phillips, Mr. Dalmahoy, Sir Jon. Trelawny, Sir Tho. Williams, Sir Mich. Wharton, Mr. Westphaling, Mr. Guy, Mr. Bowerman, Mr. May, Sir Gilbert Talbot, Sir Rich. Temple, Sir Geo. Downing, Sir Adam Browne, Mr. Percy Goreing, Sir John Knight, Mr. Onslow, Sir Tho. Stringer, Mr. Trelawny, Sir John Birkenhead, Mr. Wright, Sir Chr. Musgrave, Sir Trevor Williams, Mr. Culliford, Colonel Sandys, Sir Tho. Littleton, and all the Members that serve for the Counties of York and Lincolne: And they are to meet To-morrow, at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon, in the Speaker's Chamber; and to peruse the Settlement mentioned in the Bill; and to report it to the House: And they are impowered to send for Persons, Papers, and Records.

Thompson's, &c. Estates.

Ordered, That the Committee, to whom the Bill for the better Discovery of the Estates of Thompson and Nelthrop, was committed, be revived; and do sit this Afternoon in the Place formerly appointed.

Cotton's Estate.

Ordered, That Sir Edw. Deering, Mr. Mallet, Sir Hen. Puckering, Mr. Westphaling, Mr. Rigby, Sir John Bowyer, Mr. Cheny, Sir Bain. Throgmorton, Sir Ric. Everard, Mr. Morris, Sir Gilbert Talbot, Sir Fr. Clerke, be added to the Committee to whom the Bill on the Behalf of Sir John Cotton is committed.

Baptism and Catechising.

A Bill, sent from the Lords, intituled, An Act concerning Baptism and Catechising, was read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill be read a Second time.

Inquiry after a missing Bill.

Ordered, That the Clerk do inquire after the Bill, sent from the Lords, concerning clandestine and irregular Marriages; which was taken out of the House on Thursday last, by some Member; and give an Account of it to the House on Wednesday Morning next.

Supply.

The House then proceeded to the Consideration of his Majesty's Supply.

Resolved, &c. That the House do now resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to proceed further in the Consideration of his Majesty's Supply.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.

Sir Edw. Deering took the Chair of the Committee.

Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Sir Edward Deering reports from the Committee, That the Committee had taken the same into their Consideration; and had agreed upon a Vote: Which he read in his Place; and afterwards delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table; and is as followeth; viz.

Resolved, &c. That it is the Opinion of this Committee, That the Sum of Ten hundred thousand Pounds be raised, for enabling his Majesty to enter into an actual War against the French King.

The Question being put, To agree with the Committee;

It was resolved in the Affirmative.

Resolved, &c. That this House doth agree with the Committee, That the Sum of Ten hundred thousand Pounds be raised, for enabling his Majesty to enter into an actual War against the French King.

Resolved, &c. That this House will, To-morrow Morning at Ten of the Clock, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider of the Manner of raising the Sum of Ten hundred thousand Pounds, for enabling his Majesty to enter into an actual War against the French King.

Committees.

Ordered, That all Committees that were to sit this Afternoon, be adjourned.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Eight of the Clock.
