Leave of Absence.

ORDERED, That Mr. Sanderson, a Member of this House, have Leave to go into the Country, for Recovery of his Health.

Court of Marches.

Ordered, That Mr. Secretary Jenkins be added to the Committee to whom the Bill for taking away the Court, holden before the President and Council in the Marches of Wales, is committed.

Taunton Election.

Ordered, That the Matter touching the Election for the Town of Taunton in the County of Somersett, which was appointed for this Day, be heard at the Bar of this House, on Tuesday Morning next.

Bexhill, &c. Manors.

A Bill for the better securing the Payment of an Annuity or Rent Charge of One hundred and Thirty Pounds per Annum, out of the Manors and Farms of Bexhill and Cowding in the County of Sussex, to the Use of the Poor of several Parishes in the County of Surrey, was read the First time.

Resolved, That the said Bill be read a Second time.

Popish Plot in Ireland.

Mr. Speaker, according to the Order of the House, acquaints the House, That Mr. Hetherington had informed him, That there were Twenty-five Persons unnamed to him by Mr. Hetherington, who are Witnesses relating to the Popish Plot in Ireland: And that Mr. Hetherington did not think it convenient that the Names or Circumstances of them should be known: And that he had received from Mr. Hetherington the Names of Nine other Witnesses alleged to be at the Charge of Mr. Hetherington, in great measure, viz. Mr. Edmund Murphy, Mr. John Mryer, Mr. Daniel Fynan, Mr. James Gallaghan, Mr. Bernard Dennis, Mr. Eustace Comyne, Mr. George Murphy, Mr. William Wydrell, and Captain James Morley.

Ordered, That it be recommended from this House to the Lords Commissioners of the Treasury, to give Order for the Issuing out of the Sum of One hundred Pounds to Mr. Hetherington, for the present Support of Himself, and his said Witnesses.

Mr. Speaker did also further acquaint the House, That he, according to the Order of the House, had received some Intimation of other Witnesses, relating to the Popish Plot in Ireland; and named them; viz. Mr. Daniel Fitzgerald, Mr. Thomas Samson, Mr. John Macnamarra, Mr. Hobert Bourck, Mr. John Fitzgerald.

Ordered, That it be recommended from this House to the Lords Commissioners of the Treasury, to give Order for the Issuing out the Sum of Seventy Pounds for these Witnesses, for their present Support.

Warrant.

Ordered, That Mr. Speaker do issue out his Warrant to the Serjeant at Arms attending this House, to apprehend and bring in Custody, such Persons as shall be named to Mr. Speaker by Mr. Arnold, a Member of this House.

Lord Stafford's Impeachment.

And the Committee of the Commons proceeded in the Management of the Impeachment against William Viscount Stafford, before the Lords in Parliament.

THE Committee of the Commons returned to the House.

Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Attendance of a person deferred.

The House being informed, That Mr. William Stawell, in Custody of the Serjeant at Arms attending this House, is sick, and not able to appear before this House;

Ordered, That Mr. Stawell have a Month's time given him for such his Appearance.

Lord Stafford's Impeachment.

A Message from the Lords, by Sir Timothy Baldwin and Sir Samuel Clark;

Mr. Speaker, The Lords have sent us to acquaint this House, That they have ordered William Viscount Stafford to be brought again to the Bar in Westminster Hall, on Monday Morning next, at Ten of the Clock.

Committees.

Ordered, That all Committees that were to sit this Afternoon, be adjourned.
