AN ingrossed Bill, sent down from the Lords, intituled, An Act for rebuilding the Earl of Powis's House in Lincolne's Inn Fields, lately demolished by Fire, was read.

An ingrossed Bill, sent from the Lords, for the Naturalization of James Dufay, and others, was read a Second time.

Rochester, &c. Waterworks.

Sir John Hoskins reports from the Committee to whom the Bill for conveying fresh Water to Rochester and Chatham, was committed, That the Committee, having taken the same into their Consideration, had agreed upon some Amendments to be made to the Bill: Which he read in his Place; and afterwards delivered them in at the Table: Where they being again read, were severally agreed to by the House.

Ordered, That the Bill, with the Amendments, be ingrossed.

Paper Manufacture.

Post Office.

An ingrossed Bill, sent down from the Lords, for consolidating the Estates Tail which his Majesty hath in the Post Office; and Four-and-twenty thousand Pounds per Annum of the hereditary Excise; was read a Third time.

Resolved, That the Bill do pass: And that the Title be agreed to.

Ordered, That the Earl of Ranelagh do carry up the said Bill to the Lords, and acquaint them with the Concurrence of this House thereto.

Duchy of Cornwall Leasing.

An ingrossed Bill, sent down from the Lords, intituled, An Act to enable his Majesty to make Grants, Leases, and Copies of Offices, Lands, and Hereditaments, Parcel of his Highness' Duchy of Cornwall, or annexed to the same; and for Confirmation of Leases and Grants already made; was read a Third time.

Resolved, That the Bill do pass: And that the Title be agreed.

Ordered, That the Earl of Ranelagh do carry up the said Bill to the Lords, and acquaint them with the Concurrence of this House thereto.

Importing Gunpowder, &c.

An ingrossed Bill to prohibit the Importation of Gunpowder and Small Arms, was read a Third time.

Resolved, That the said Bill do pass: And that the Title be, An Act against the Importation of Gunpowder, Arms, Ammunition, and other Utensils of War.

Northern Borders.

An ingrossed Bill to prevent Theft and Rapine on the Northern Borders of England, was read a Third time.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill do pass: And that the Title be, An Act for Continuance of Three former Acts, to prevent Theft and Rapine on the Northern Borders of England.

Ordered, That Sir Edmund Jennings do carry up the Two Bills last mentioned to the Lords for their Concurrence.

Savery's Name.

An ingrossed Bill, sent down from the Lords, intituled, An Act to enable Isaac Savery, of the City of Exeter, Gentleman, to take upon him the Surname of Searle or Serle, was read.

An ingrossed Bill against Pedlars, Hawkers, and Petty Chapmen, was read the Third time.

Taking of Earl of Argyle.

The Earl of Midleton acquaints the House, from his Majesty, That the Grand Rebel Argyle is taken; and now in safe Custody.

Resolved, That the most humble and hearty Acknowledgments and Thanks of this House be presented to his Majesty, for his gracious Communication to them of the Taking of that Arch Traitor, the late Earl of Argyle: Which this House received with all imaginable Joy and Satisfaction.

Ordered, That such Members of this House as are of his Majesty's most honourable Privy Council, as likewise the Lord Preston and Sir Hen. Goodrick, do attend his Majesty with the Thanks of this House.

Rebuilding St. Paul's.

A Bill for rebuilding the Cathedral Church of St. Paul's, London, was read a Second time.

Resolved, That this House will, To-morrow Morning at Ten of the Clock, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to proceed in the Consideration of the Bill for Coinage.

Ordered, That Leave be given to bring in a Bill to revive an Act for the Exportation of Beer, Ale, and Mum.

Expiring Laws.

An ingrossed Bill for reviving and continuing several Laws expired, and near expiring, was read a Third time.

And an ingrossed Proviso being tendered to be added to the Bill; and being thrice read;

Resolved, That the said Proviso be made Part of the Bill.

Resolved, That the Bill do pass: And that the Title be, An Act to revive and continue several Acts therein mentioned.

Earl of Cleveland's Creditors.

A Petition of Eliz. Theakston, Widow, was read.

Ordered, That the Consideration of the said Petition be referred to the Committee to whom the Bill for Relief of the Creditors of the late Earl of Cleveland, was committed; to examine the Matter thereof; and report the same, with their Opinion therein, to the House.

Importation of Fish.

A Bill against the Importation of Fish caught by Foreigners, was read.

Ordered, That the Committee to whom the Bill for Naturalization of Magdalen Pellisary, and others, was committed, be revived; and do meet at Three of the Clock this Afternoon, in the Speaker's Chamber.

Wool and Corn.

Ordered, That the Committee appointed to consider of Ways and Means to keep up the Price of Wool and Corn, be revived; and do meet at Three of the Clock this Afternoon, in the Place formerly appointed.

Woollen Manufacture.

Ordered, That the Bill for Encouragement of the Woollen Manufacture, by the general Wearing thereof, be read To-morrow Morning.

Foreign Protestants Nat.

Ordered, That the Bill for Naturalizing all such Protestant Strangers as are in England, Wales, or Town of Berwick, and the Isles of Jersey, Guernsey, and such others as shall within a limited Time come from beyond the Seas, be read To-morrow Morning.
