Feb. 2. Order of the House of Commons, that all the goods and estate of Capt. Ashfield, Papist in arms, concealed in London or elsewhere, and now discovered, be disposed of by the County Commissioners of Gloucester towards raising horse under Capt. Aileworth. [G 64, p. 56.]
Feb. 27. Order of the Committee for Scottish Affairs that the treasurers receive whatever money is brought in, whether in part of, or in full satisfaction of assessment tickets, and return the tickets to this committee, that notice may be taken thereof. [G 1a, p. 16.]
Feb. 29. Note that Sir Edw. Hales, Bart., sent his servant to render his readiness to take the covenant.
Also that John Goodwin, of Barnet, Herts, clerk, took the covenant on 23rd February, as appeared by a certificate from the minister and churchwardens of the parish. [G 70, p. 281.]
