Order of the House of Commous, that 20,000l. be presently sent to the Scottish
army in the north, and that the Committee of Goldsmiths' Hall take care that
it is sent, and consider of some expedient means for raising and procuring this
sum within the time limited; also, that the committee appointed to consider of
those that come in upon the Declaration of both Kingdoms meet to-morrow
with the committee at Goldsmiths' Hall, to consider of raising money by such

Order of the House of Commons, that the Committee at Goldsmiths' Hall use
their endeavours for getting in the moneys that are behind of the 100,000l. promised to be lent by the companies, at a Common Hall, on Friday, 3 June 1642,
for preservation of Ireland, and such arrears as shall be brought in by the
industry of the said committee shall be employed for the relief of the Scottish

Order of the Committee for Scottish Affairs that the first 6,000l. that comes
in on the ordinance of the 200,000l. shall be employed, over and above the
10,000l. in cash, to make up the 20,000l. to be sent to the Scottish army in the
north, or to reimburse the like sum to be lent by this committee therefor. |

That as the Countess Dowager of Home has 7,300l. in the hands of persons of
quality in Scotland, which she is willing to lend for the Scottish army in
Ireland on security; and as the Commissioners for Scotland here will thereon
give acquittances for it, as so much received in part of the first 30,000l. ordered
11 April last by Parliament, her offer be accepted, and Sir Hen. Vane and
6 other members of the committee be the security desired; and that the said

Order of the Committee for Scottish Affairs to the treasurers, on an order of
the House of Commons, to send aboard the ship John, in the Thames, 20 chests
of silver, containing 20,000l., to be carried to Hull, and there delivered to the
commis ary general of the Scottish army in England, or Hen. Darley, to be
paid to the "brethren of Scotland" as agreed, for assistance in this war.

Order of the House of Commons, that 30,000l., part of the arrears due to the
Scottish army in Ireland, be paid out of the money to be raised by the ordinance

Order of the Committee for Scottish Affairs and the Committee at Goldsmiths' Hall, that the treasurers give credit to Nich. West, Lord Manchester's
agent, for 500l. worth of arms, sent his lordship by this committee on order of
the House of Commons, to be paid in 3 mouths, in satisfaction of the like sum
disbursed by his lordship for butter, meal, and barley sent from Yarmouth to

Order of the Committee for Scottish Affairs that as, on 11 April, Parliament
ordered 30,000l. out of sequestration to be shipped to Carrickfergus, in part of
the arrears of the Scottish army in Ireland, of which 7,280l. is to be paid in
Scotland of Lady Home's money, and 10,000l. delivered in dollars at Rotterdam,
from the Merchant Adventurers, on credit of the said sequestration moneys, and
12,000l. is already paid in by the sequestration treasurers; the balance of 720l.
be advanced on loan, and that Waring and Herring lay on board the eighth
Whelp, now in the Thames, 13 chests of silver, containing 12,720l., to be
carried to Carrickfergus and delivered to the commissary general of the army.
