Elizabeth, widow of Ralph Seacombe, petitions Sir Thos. Stanley, one of the colonels for the county, to allow her the ⅓ of an estate in Melling, sold by her late husband to Rob. Molineux, sen., and sequestered. Applies to him, there being no legal proceedings these turbulent times. Noted, the Sequestrators of Derby Hundred to allow her the third. 120 564
28 Sept. 1652. Wm. Strangways, of Liverpool, who has married Eliz. Seacombe, begs discharge of the estate, secured by the County. Commissioners last August, as having belonged to Rob. Molineux, Papist delinquent. 120 562

22 Aug. 1650. The petition of Rob. Molineux, jun., infant of 10 years, by Cuthbert Ogle, his guardian (missing), referred to counsel. 11 85

Lancaster, lately fallen to him by deeds of 12 Charles, on the death of his grandfather, Rob. Molineux, sequestered for recusancy only, and of his father, Rob. Molineux, who was a delinquent though never sequestered. Appealed to the Barons of Exchequer, but his case has not yet been heard. Noted as referred to Reading. 105 769

Complains that though he has paid the fine, the county commissioners refuse to discharge his estates, on plea that his grandfather and father were Papist delinquents, and that he has been brought up in Popery; but they died Protestants, and his guardian is a known Protestant. Begs discharge of his estate, with the profits since payment of fine, or examination into the charge of recusancy. 105 747
10 September. He is to prove that he is not a Papist, and the county commissioners to show whether any of the three Robert Molineuxes convicted of recusancy between 1619 and 1637 was the petitioner's father. 15 13
28 Jan. 1652. Complains that he has already spent 60l. in attendance, and begs either discharge of the estate, or repayment of the fine of 240l. borrowed on interest. Has no other subsistence for himself and 4 brothers and sisters. Noted, the proceedings in the case to be produced. 105 760
