Footnotes

  • 1. See above p. xiv n. 3.
  • 2. Member of the Roman family of Savelli; son of Luke de Sabello de Urbe (Reg. Nic. IV nos. 6248-9 = C.P.L. I 544; cf. Gregorovius V(1) 118-19, V(2) 504 n.).
  • 3. Le Neve-Hardy II 149 gives Francis Napoleonis de Ursinis (Orsini) as preb. Farndon in 1306, but this seems to be an error. He was cardinal-dcn. of S. Lucia in Silice from 17 Dec. 1295 (Eubel I 12), to his d., by 18 Jan. 1312 (C.P.L. II 94).
