Manor of Langford (Oxon., royal manor T.R.E. and 1086) perhaps the land which Roger bp. of Salisbury (1106-39) had in Langford which was given to the cathedral by king Henry II 1155 × 58 (R.A.L. I nos. 139, 179); not named in papal confs. of prebs. unless included in appurtenances of Langford church 6 Feb. 1146 (ibid. no. 252 p. 199) and lands of Langford church 5 June 1163 (ibid. no. 255 p. 207), and therefore perhaps the lands of Langford church gr. by king Stephen 1139 × 46 (Regesta III no. 484).
