(fn. 1) Placed first in Psalter list of prebs., prob. c. 1150. Preb. accounted for 108s. in 1186, 100s. in 1187, £4 in 1188 (PR 32 Hen. II p. 167, 33 Hen. II p. 187, 34 Hen. II p. 184).

Occ. as William penitentiary and this preb. May-June 1284 (app. 2). Occ. several times (cf. app. 3). Executor of will of M. Ralph of York I (Early Rolls of Merton p. 109). Last occ. as can. and executor of bp. Robert de Wickhampton's will, 20 June 1302 (Reg. Gandavo I 90). But presum. transf. to another, unident., preb. (list 66) before 30 Dec. 1295 (cf. below).
