M. William de Bergeveney D.Th. 1351, 1356.

Northburgh had expect. 28 Apr. 1343 (CPL. 111 60), and secured preb. by virtue of this, although not a theologian (ibid. iv 190). Estate ratif. 20 Nov. 1346 (CPR. 1345- 1348 p. 481), but tenure disturbed June 1347 (ibid. p. 376). Reynham also claimed it; on d., succeeded by Bergeveney (Chich. Chart. p. 290), who was litigating about it 28 Jan. 1349 (CPL. 111 273). It is therefore probably with Bergeveney that Northburgh is litigating 12 Dec. (ibid. p. 318). Sentence in favour of Bergeveney conf. by pope 30 March 1351 (Chich. Chart. p. 290), Northburgh having become preb. of Sutton in June 1350. Bergeveney occ. 20 Oct. 1356 (CCR. 1354-1360 p. 324), and is still a can. of Chichester 1359 (Chich. Chart. p. 188).

M. Simon de Bredon D.M. ?-1368/72.

Expect. 3 Feb. 1355 (CPL. 111 545). Accepted preb. by virtue of this, although not a theologian (ibid. iv 190; cf. Chich. Chart. p. 290). Occ. 13 Nov. 1366 (Reg. Langham p. 10). D. 12 Oct. 1368/18 Apr. 1372 (Lamb., Reg. Wittlesey f. 122; cf. CPL. iv 177).
