Footnotes

  • 1. It would seem at least possible that Geoffrey (Galfridus, Gaulfredus) de Pistorio is the same as Gualfred de Regalibus.
  • 2. Bp. of Hereford asked by 3 Nov. 1328 for coll. of this preb. to be made to M. J- de L- (=John de Lech?) (Reg. Grandisson 1 184-5).
  • 3. John de Brian is also said to succeed to this preb., 9 Jan. 1350, on the res. of M. Reginald de Brian B.C.L. (CPR. 1348-1350 p. 442). If this is not an error, Reginald de Brian may have held it for a short time after the d. of Thomas de Astley, before he had prov. of bpc. of St Davids 11 Sept. 1349 (CPL. 111 311).
  • 4. It is curious, however, that Cusantia still occ. in a/c roll for Easter term 1357; Sancey replaces him at Midsummer, but occ. this time only (D. & C. Ex. 2795).
