  • 3. The identification of this with the 6th preb. depends on the succession to Nicholas Wendon and the seeming impossibility of fitting these four prebendaries into any other prebend. Le Neve-Hardy gives them in the 4th prebend, but the succession in that prebend is explicit from Edmund Drake at the foundation to Thomas Smyth in 1567.
