Essex, of the king in chief by service of 1 knight's fee of the escheat of the honour of Boulogne, doing suit at the court of Wyham, co. Essex, and rendering to the sick (infirmis) of Boulogne 20l. sterling, which they yearly receive from the rents of the manor of Bocton, whereof they have the charter of feoffment of the predecessors of the said Stephen.
The advowson of the church of Bocton pertains to the said manor.
Canterbury. A messuage jointly held by charter by the said Stephen and Maud his wife, who survives him.
Bocton. 14s. rent and 2½a. meadow similarly held.
He died on Thursday before St. Michael in the said year. His daughters, Idonea the wife of Thomas de Gattesden (alias de Gadisden), aged 31 at the feast of St. Bartholomew last, Joan the wife of Ralph de Otringden, aged 25 at the feast of the Nativity of St. John last, and Iseult, who will be 23 at the Purification, are his next heirs. |

York; which fee was assigned to the said countess in dower of the fees of the said earl sometime her husband; and the same Peter after the death of Giles de Goushull, his father, made relief to the countess by reason of the said lands for ⅓ knight's fee assigned to her in the said counties.
