Frormynton. A messuage, 26a. arable, and 1a. meadow, held of the king by serjeanty, by service of carrying a line (cordam) round the castle of Hereford for measuring the perches of wall, at the building of the same. She held no other lands, &c. in the bailiwick of the said William’s inheritance.

The hamlet (extent given), held of the king in chief by serjeanty, owing homage and 50s. relief, and finding an armed man with a horse unbarded for forty days at his own costs for guarding the castle of Montgomery in time of Welsh war, paying 2s. yearly to the king’s bailiffs for a service called ‘Streteward,’ and doing suit at the county (court) of Salop and at the hundred of Bradford.
Derlaston and Mittonley. 10s. rent of free tenants, held of the bishop of Chester owing suit at his court of Prees.

Hole and Up Aury. Certain lands, &c. unspecified, held of the king in chief by service of finding the king three arrows whenever he should hunt in person in the forest of Exemor.
West Halselond. 8s. 4d. yearly rent held of Walter de Halselond by service of 1/10 knight’s fee, rendering 5s. yearly.
The said lands, &c. are in the king’s hand by the death of the said Walter and minority of the said William, and for no other cause.

A third part (extent given), held by the courtesy of England of the king in chief, of the inheritance of Agnes sometime his wife, which third part, together with the other two parts, is held by serjeanty of keeping the king’s Hays of Hauekeshurst and Bysshemor near the king’s forest called ‘La Longeforest.’
Her daughters, Isabel, aged 45, whom William le Kyng married, Amice, aged 44, whom Simon Underhull married, and Margery, aged 40, are next heirs of the said Agnes.

A messuage, 4 bovates land, tenants at will holding 9 bovates, 1a. meadow, a sixth part of a watermill, &c. and 1 bovate land in Kirkandres, held of the king in chief by cornage of 6s. to be paid to the sheriff for the king’s use, and by homage and a sixth part of a suit at the county (court) of Cumberland.
Kirkelevyngton, Skelton and Stapilton. A twelfth part of the advowsons of the churches, held of the king.
Roland de Carrik, her son, aged 30 and more, is her next heir.
Richard de Astinby held a messuage and 45a. land freely of the heir of the said Maud by homage, and 14 . . cornage yearly.

Tadelawe. The manor (extent given), held of Sir John Prilly by service of 1 knight’s fee, but seisin thereof was delivered by letters patent of the said Peter the first Sunday of Lent last, to Sir William de Sancto Georgio, and he died on Tuesday after at the ninth hour.

BUCKINGHAM. Inq. Monday after the Purification, 1 Edw. II.
Adintone. The manor (extent given), held for life of the inheritance of Thomas, nephew and heir of Ralph Eyz Bernard, who is in the king’s wardship, by the grant of the said Ralph long before his death. The said manor, together with the manor of Ilmeresaston, is held of the king in chief by service of the marshalcy of the king’s falcons.
Writ, to the escheator on the petition of Agatha, late the wife of the said Ralph, to enquire whether the said Ralph was seised of the manor of Adynton after he married the said Agatha, so that she ought to have dower there, 6 March, 1 Edw. II.
BUCKINGHAM. Inq. Saturday after St. Gregory the Pope, 1 Edw. II.
Adintone. The said Ralph married Agatha his wife in 40 Hen. III. and then held the said manor, and 38 years afterwards demised the same to Margaret, late the wife of his son John, for her life. The said Agatha ought to have her dower of the said manor.
